Unit3 Festivals教学设计
一、教学内容:Part 1(第一课时)
二、教学目标:
1、语言技能:Read the text, then listen and repeat.2.语言知识:Know about Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving.3.学习策略:利用网络寻找相关的节日知识。4.文化意识: 了解东西方不同的节日。5.情感态度:培养学习西方文化的兴趣。

五、教学过程: Step 1 Warm up Show some pictures and ask:
What festival is it ? When is it ? What do we often do on this day?
Step 2 Presentation1、Read about the texts.T:What festivals are they?
Teach “Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving”
2、T:What do you know about Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving from the paage?
Read the texts again and find the useful information.①When is Mid-Autumn Festival? ②How is the moon on that day? ③What do the people often do? ④When is thanksgiving day? ⑤What are the people feeling?
3、Try to understand the new words:
Lunar, get together, moon cake, turkey
