一、教学目标
（一）知识与技能
1．能听说认读以下单词：tall, short, fat, thin。2．能运用所学形容词来描述动物的特征。3．能听懂指令，并根据指令做出相应的动作。4．能按正确格式书写单词。
（二）过程与方法
通过看口型、听音辨音等形式来反复练习单词。
（三）情感、态度与价值观
教育学生要以正确的态度对待别人，不要以貌取人。
二、教学重难点 教学重点：
能运用所学形容词来描述动物的特征。教学难点：
单词thin的发音。
三、教学策略
游戏是儿童的天堂。做游戏可以满足他们好动好玩的心理，这样小学生的注意力会持久、稳定。因此，把游戏应用于英语词汇教学中不仅能为词汇学习创造出逼真的、富于交际性的语言环境，而且能为学生提供引人入胜的词汇练习形式。运用形象生动的课件也可以把教学内容具体形象化、简单化、生动化，迎合了小学生的好奇心。这样，学生在轻松愉快的状态下，加深了词汇的感知印象，为永久记住词汇打下基础。

Step 2: 新课展示
1、Presentation1．PPT呈现一些动物图片：

Can you tell me what they are?(yes)(幻灯片出示动物图片，生用英语说。)look,what’s that?it is a giraffe.Look at that giraffe.It’s….Ss: It’s tall.（带读tall,句子the giraffe is tall..）T:.Yes, it’s so tall.Look at that rabbit..it’s so short..(带读short,the rabbit is short.))Ss talk about pictures like this: Look at that„ It’s„PPT呈现有趣的对比图画(天上的小鸟和地上的鸭子)，吸引学生的注意力，形象生动的图片能让学生体会到单词的意义，通过课件对比归类学习词汇，有利于让学生记忆更牢固。

Step 3: 趣味操练(Practice)（1）带读所有单词，再炸弹游戏
(2)开火车：教师将Let’s learn 部分的单词卡举起，学生以“开火车”的形式练习。
Step 4．
Listen and repeat.（1）听音跟读，（正音并及时得到巩固）；（2）师生齐做Let’s do 部分的内容。（听 Let’s do 部分的录音，学生边听边说边做此部分的活动。

Group work: 出示图片。学生描述。（elephant.Panda.bears）
