一、教学内容：
本课是《新标准英语三年级起点第六册》第18页 Module5 Unit1 It’s big and light.二、教材分析：
本教材是供小学五年级下学期使用的，全书共分11个模块（Module），内涵一个期末复习模块。每个模块分为两个单元（Unit）。一般情况下，第一单元呈现本模块所要学习的语言内容，第二单元提供若干任务型（task-based）练习，包括一首歌谣或小诗。本课教授的是第六模块的第一单元。
三、学情分析：
这是五年级下学期期中前的最后一个模块。学生在前面的几个模块中重点学习和掌握了一般过去时，以及动词过去式的几个不规则变化形式。本课所涉及的是对事物特征的表述。要求学生对所学的形容词能够学以致用。
四、教学目标分析:
1、知识与技能：
能听说读写单词：light, broken, heavy, pockets.能掌握句型：It’s big and light.It’s got two pockets.能运用句型It’s_______.描述事物的特征。
2、过程与方法：
通过学习课文，让学生对本课有一个整体的感知。然后层层剖析。将重难点一一解析，层层递进。本课的重点句型和单词能够熟练掌握。

在这节课中我注重了热身这个环节，通过几组反义词引入新知识的学习，让学生马上进入学习状态。在学习新单词方面，说实话，这几个单词对于大多数学生来说，基本没有问题，但是为了那些有困难的学生，我创设了这样一个个情境。通过一系列动作，给学生留下了非常深刻的印象，使他们在真实的语境中更准确地理解了单词的含义。
为了能让学生更好地理解课文，我设置了一些相关的问题，然后逐个呈现，帮助学生理解课文。首先在第一遍听的时候，我让他们带着两个简单的小问题，一是“How many bags in the dialogue?”第二个是“What colour bag did they buy?”这样做的目的只是让学生大致了解课文内容，在深入理解时，我通过这样三个问题来进行，（1）What's the black bag like?(2)What’s the green bag?(3)Why did they buy the blue bag?这一系列问题能够回答出来，课文内容基本也就理解了。值得一提的是当较好的学生答出问题后，我有意让差生再重复一次，为的是让他们及时跟上来，以防掉队。本课虽然课文很长，但几个简单问题便概括出了本课的主要内容，较低了难度，学习效果较好。y
