一、教材分析
1、教材简析
本单元的主要话题是谈论事故,此课为本单元的第六节课,主要介绍圣诞节及圣诞老人助人为乐的精神,是一篇阅读课文,通过阅读,使学生清楚地知道圣诞精神,更多地了解西方的圣诞文化。
2、教学目标
⑴ 知识目标:
① The spirit of Christmas: Helping people ② The culture of Christmas ⑵ 能力目标:
发展学生的听、说、识记及阅读能力,培养学生语言综合运用能力。⑶ 情感、态度和价值观:
1.在学习中敢于用英语表达自己的看法。2.培养学习英语的兴趣和学好英语的信心。3.乐于接触并了解异国文化。
3、重点和难点
⑴重点:
了解圣诞节的来源 ⑵难点:
学生词汇量有限,口语表达能力欠缺,让学生表述帮助人的故事有一定的难度。
4、教学辅助工具:多媒体
二、学情分析
枯燥的话题很难提高学生的学习兴趣。在这节课,通过一个有趣的圣诞节的故事,来激起学生的兴趣,让学生主动谈自己的想法和看法,学有所得。
三、教学方法 本课采用任务型阅读教学法,用几段关于西方节日的视频,引出圣诞精神话题。采用提问、启发、讨论和归纳的教法,让学生易于接受教材内容,理解阅读内容,培养学生的语言运用能力。
四、教学过程
Step Ⅰ.Lead in Watch vedios.The vedios are about western festivals.Let them gue as soon as poible.Step Ⅱ.Warming-up questions: Ask,” what do you know about Christmas?” Step III.Listening Have the cla listen to the tape and do exercises.Step IV.Reading Let the students read the paage on the left and remember the important sentences.Answer the questions ,then look at the pictures and say something about it(when , where, who , what).Let them to master the use of “save” Step V.Have a competition 1.Where does Santa live? 2.What animals pull Santa’s sleigh? 3.How does Santa get into their houses? Step VI.Have a test: Christmas is an____________ festival.Santa Claus and___________ go together.He is always ___ red clothes and black boots.On Christmas Eve, he comes down through a ___________.It is said that he_______ ________ from the storms, _________young children and gave _______ to _______ _____.His name is very __________ in Europe.He lives at the ______ ______.He rides in a ________and some __________pull his sleigh.Step VII.Play a gueing game I tell a story to the students , let them to gue who he is as soon as poible.◆ He won a medal , but not a gold medal.◆ He was hornoured with “Meager of Love” in Hebei.◆ He is from Yutian Tangshan.◆ Before New Year’s Day of 2008 , he ,together with twelve farmers Went to southern China where the people were suffering a terrible snowstorm.The thirteen Tangshaners helped the people there a lot.They are the pride of Tangshaners.Step VIII.Share the stories There are many real stories about helping others around us.Please tell your stories to your clamates.Step IX.Homework Write a paage “a story about helping others” ◆ Who helped you?/Whom did you help? ◆ Where and when did it happen? ◆ What can you learn from it?
五、教学反思
与以前我所上的英语课相比,从课上的情况和课后的反馈结果来看,应该说这节课是比较成功的。我想,这节课才是一节名副其实的语言实践课、活动课。学生的主体作用得到了淋漓尽致的发挥。在真实的情境中,学生的兴趣被大大地激发。他们在学中动、在动中学。因而,在这种富有情趣的、真实的交际中,他们主动愉快地接受了信息,加工了信息,交流了信息。通过这节英语课,我越来越深地感悟到必须让学生成为课堂上的主力军,在活跃的教学情境中,学生们才能最大限度的发挥潜能,不受限制地发挥想象力,创造性地运用语言。当然,这节课也有令人遗憾的地方,比如说时间掌握得不好,以至于出现了讲故事仓促,准备不充分,瑕不掩瑜。从下学生们表现的前所未有的高昂情绪中,我还是悟出了英语教学的真谛。
