一、文化知识背景
在各方面安全日渐突出的情况下，学生的安全问题已成为家长及教师最为关心的一个问题。而只有让学生学会自我保护，意识到安全的重要性，才能从根本上解决学生安全问题。
本单元的主题是“安全及安全教育”，所以大部分内容都是围绕这一主题展开。本单元从安全标志识别开始，让学生学会认识安全标志，给学生灌输各方面安全知识，让学生学会表达关于安全的单词和句子，学会在各种危险情况下的自我保护；在学习语言的同时，还可以从各种交际对话中培训英语听力，在英语阅读中获取各种安全知识，比如上网保护个人信息，雷雨天气如何保护自己，在火灾情况下如何自救，日常生活中的用电安全，全面认识到安全及自我保护的重要性。
二、单元教学建议
因材施教，教学从教育的实际情况出发。根据学生的实际情况，设计具体的有效的教学程序及步骤。让大部分学生积极参与到课堂教学中来，并且能在课堂上有所收获，积极提高课堂的效率。本单元涉及的要点是：
1.探讨与安全有关的话题，让学生学习安全知识，灌输安全意识，学会在各种情况下自我保护。2.学习 “it”的用法。
3.掌握与本单元话题相关的听说读写技能。
Section A Warming-up
一、教学内容分析：本课是第七单元第一课时，属于听说课。Warming-up 呈现了部分常见的安全标志。让学生识别这些安全标志，了解英语的表达方式，起着抛砖引玉的作用，让学生打开思维，说说平日所经常见到的各种标示以及他们的警示作用，学习各种标示的英语表达，以达到活跃课堂，安全教育两者兼顾。同时积极培养学生在日常生活中的安全意识，学会保护自己，避免一些安全隐患。Listening 部分分为两个步骤进行：第一步，听一些安全问题的句子，填入所缺单词，学习安全知识，并学会运用到日常生活中。这些语句与学生的日常生活息息相关，不陌生，容易掌握，因此不难掌握；第二步，听一段关于在火灾中自救的短文，并且判断所给句子的对错。在这个部分通过多种形式锻炼学生在听力的过程中学会捕捉重要信息，从而简单的解决问题，培养听力能力，同时也灌输了学生安全知识，培养安全意识，以达到学以致用。
二、教学目标：
知识目标：(1)了解/掌握安全及相关的词汇。
eg.burn, electricity, switch, charge
(2)学会识别安全标志，了解并学会在各种危险情
况下的自我保护。
能力目标：（1）自由讨论与安全有关的话题，开口说英语。
（2）围绕话题，有效提高听力技巧和阅读能力。
情感目标：了解并掌握安全知识，提高学生安全意识，学会自我保护。
三、教学重点：(1)学习相关词汇。
(2)练习听力与口语能力。
(3)学习与安全相关的知识。
四、教学难点:(1)提高听力、口语能力。
(2)培养学生的安全意识及自救知识。
