Reflection of the Training Course

It’s my great honor to take part in this training for Huadu Primary English Teachers.I really appreciate the people working for this course.In this course, I made friends with some nice teachers.And the most important thing is that I can enchance myself by grace of the brilliant teachers from Britain.Tom who the training teacher of us is kind,friendly and humors.I got many good ideas from Tom’s courses of approaches to English language teaching, techniques and activities.It could be very interesting and useful.Now, I would like to share my feeling in five-day training.First of all, Tom designed many useful and interesting activities in the course.He always taught us around the C-Wheel.It included Connection, Coherence , Collaborate , Challenge, Care, Community and so on.Then Tom prepared so many meaningful activities for five days.For the first day, we did these activities that find someone who, My world ,Mime what happens, True/False action response, Grammar Detective, Home-sweet-Home Martian Explanations and Path GAME.Tom taughe us that we shouldn’t pay attention on how to make the student understand us and do the practice follow the pattern ,but focus on the students’ language learning proce.The second day, I felt
funny ,excited and challenging of the activities what he designed.Especial Market Trading and Magazine Pictures Story, they also acquired us to image something to match the different pictures together, to make an meaningful story.I could foster our collaborate and learn something each other.I got a lot of ideas and new teaching methods.The third day , Tom taught us how to teach vocabulary and Categories.He let me know that we could use the different technique in teaching a word for our students, not only one kind.And we could use different formats for storage when we taught the students the words in relation.It could help the students remember the words quickly and deeply.It’s full of challenging and creative for today’s activities, but you made me to know that we should give the space for the student to think of.The fourth day, Tom asked us to make the newspaper together, in this part, I thought it’s more interesting and useful for the students to make a small one.And we can put our ideas together, we could communicate with others.The last day, Tom prepared “Running dictation” for us.All of the activities which Tom designed, full of exciting, thoughtful, challenging and meaningful.Tom also showed us how to perform the story for students first, with body language ,facial, gesture and actions.And we were given the chance to discu in learning groups and show our ideas to others.It was lucky for me to have the chance to learn this course.And all these activities, we can use to practice in our teaching claroom, andit can improve our
students’ speaking, listening and writing skills in our daily teaching in the future.The five-day training course was very useful, which provided me lots of different teaching methods.I will apply what I have learned those days to help the children in the daily learning.I hope I can improve my students as soon as poible.
