We saw a film which named Wuthering Heights this afternoon.After seeing it, I felt for Heathcliff at first.He begins his life as a servant in villa.He has a very happy childhood.Played with Catherine, he falls in love with her.Because of his poorne, Catherine marries with a rich man.With heart lost, he leaves.When he returns, he changes a lot.Being rich and gentle, he swears to take his revenge on Catherine and her family.He buys the Wuthering heights.In order to make Catherine sad, he marrys with her husband’s sister.However, not only Catherine but also Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law is suffering.then they die one by one.In my opinion, heathcliff falls too deep in love so that he can’t see the world clearly.Firstly, he shouldn’t have married with Isabella if he doesn’t love her.Secondly, he should have treated her as his wife as poible as he can to let Catherine away from his world.But, what I can say is , love is indigestible.Facing reality,love is always seak.It has no power to fight.Most we hope, love can fight against everything.We shouldn’t make the same mistake like Catherine and Heathcliff.I feel much sympathy for Isbella.Beautiful as her, paionate as her, ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff.He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.As a young girl, begins setting foot in love, it is easy to love a gentle man like Heathcliff.She is enough brave to pursue her love and undertake the result.It touches my heart so nearly when I see her ask her
husband whether he can give a little love to her with tear.She is above reproach.She losts her love and her family in this villa.She tries to give battle to the reality, she fails.The courage encourages me very much.And living on after failing, not as Catherin’s escaping, she is the best.Catherin is the major role of the story.I really can’t understand her action.I know that she loves Heathcliff, because of wealth she marries with a rich man.We can says her irresponsible action is the source of all tragedies.She is attracted by Linton but doesn’t love him.She knows that clearly but she marries Linton without
listening to the call of her heart.Many critics believe that what makes her marry Linton is only his high social status and wealth.I think this comment is unfair.In fact,she folly thinks to marry Linton will help Heathcliff “to rise and place him out of my brother’s power.” Her decision ruins herself, Heathcliff and the two families.What I want to say is that love is wonderful,and it also needs our efforts to let it go.The important thing is doing everying with listening to the call of her heart.
