There’s a will, there’s a way The movie, remember the titans, which was released in 2000, was based on the real story which happened in 1971 in the community of Alexandra, a small southern town in the U.S.A.During this time great tension existed between Blacks and Whites.It is within this atmosphere that Blacks and Whites in a college came together to challenge racist attitudes and form friendships.An example of this is shown when the original coach of the titans, Coach Yoast, who is white, has Coach Boone, who is black, over to his house.Coach Yoast has a discuion with Boone about the upcoming coaching position, but he has concerns about a black coach coaching a mixed colored team.Boone persuades Yoast to make himself the coach of the team, and Yoast the aistant coach.The movie is about the stories happened between the black coach ,the white coach and the mixed colored team.there are 4 main characters in the movie.The black coach Boone ,who is a very persistent and determined, ambitious and just man, even though others persuaded him to give up the job because of the preure from the white ,he never gave in and went to the end.more importantly ,he treated everyone in the same way ,no matter what color they are ,which helped him to built up his authority.he always pursuit perfection and sometimes seemed too strict with the football player.however , it’s also because his ambitions and determinations ,he leaded the team to get the victory at last ,which showed his unchallengeable leadership.the other coach is Yoast , a white man who looked downed upon Boone at first.Though he refused to be the aistant of Boone first ,he accepted the job last and stopped the white football player from sitting out ,which showed that he’s a responsible man who can take the big picture into consideration.He’s also very cooperative partner.He always tried to protect his authority.besides , he’s honest and just ,he never allow the cheat ,though the cheat would be for his own good.Following will be the two captains in the football team.one is the black captain Julius ,who is a man has sentiment and justice and a really hard working football player.He’s anti-white first ,but during the time training with the white ,he changed his view and made friends with them.he know how to respect others and when he stopped the black guys from joking Gerry’s mom, I know that he’s a considerable man.The other is the white captain Gerry ,who is a man has sentiment and justice like Julius and a man who can bend and move.he is highly responsible for his team.once he ever cut his friend out of the team since he was not work hard.I also impreed by his positive attitude toward his life.even though he became a disability ,he never lose his paion about football and tried to take part in the Olympics.There are 5 things I think are the important ones.first is the first meeting of the black and white(the football players and the coaches).both of them are very angry for the racial resent.The scene showed how deep resent they have between the black and white and told us the historical situation ,which also meant that it’s a tough job to get the mixed team together.second one is that ,Boone asked all the football players to sit together based on the role they play in the team but not the color.I think it is important because it showed Boone’s determination to make the team united and it’s the first step to make them know each other.The third one is that ,Boone woke up all the football player to get together to run to the Gettysburg ,where 50,000men died there because of the battle of racial hatred.according to this experience ,Boone asked the boys that they should learn from the dead and to come together to respect each other.this thing showed the special training way of Boone.more importantly ,told all the guys that the hatred leaded to nothing but the suffering of both side, which is a good way to show the black’s hope of being equal and respected.the fourth one is that all the football player are training together in the playground ,answering Boone’s questions powerfully and confidently ,which shows their determination of getting victory.the scene tell us that Boone’s way to unit the mixed team does work and is the eential proce of being a perfect team.The last one is that ,at the time the team are fighting for the victory ,the coach Yoast ask the judge Titus to be justice or make the cheat known ,which means that he cannot go into the hall of fame.the thing shows Boone’s character of justice and selflene.It reveals that the discrimination still remain between but some good change also happen.At the beginning,the white think that they are superior ,and they keep the egotism in their mind.they are prejudice and hostile to the black since they think the black are born to be foolish ,lazy and rude.these conclusion come form the fact that the white refused to play for Boone and all the neighbor thought that the bonne’s family was unsuitable to live with them and so on.as for the black ,because they cannot get the same rights with the white ,they are anti-white and hate the white ,thinking that they are nothing and they will never get together with this kind of men.However ,though both of them can understand each other at first ,grate change happened gradually.with the guidance of Boone ,they are forced to get know about each other and try to understand each other.the leon of the harm of hatred and the importance of respect help all the players get away from the discrimination.More importantly ,the mixed team’s union makes other people get know about the equality and respect ,which is of grate help of delete the discrimination between the different races.in this way , the thinking and views change for a lot of the citizens.In my opinion ,some citizens not changed at all just because the root of the racial discrimination is too deep to delete.As for some citizens ,especially those old white people ,they have kept the concept for so many years ,which make it seem impoible to change.However ,for the young guys ,such as Gerry’s girl friend , she’s the new generation ,who was well educated.Though she looked down on the black at first ,she gradually changed her mind by getting know about what the black really are ,which needed a long time but worth.Actually ,it shocked me that when all the football player came back to school to begin their new team ,so many people marched in the street to fight against the integration of the black and white school.besides ,when the white came to see the football game ,they don’t even want to sit beside the black.what’s worse ,Gerry’s mom and girl friend can not accept the black friend of Gerry’s at first.all the above things showed that at that time ,the relationship between the black and white was really terrible.the black were on the weak side ,and the discrimination made the society queasy.nowadays, times have changed.The past several years have seem the grate improvement of the equality of the citizens.However ,there’s are still some discrimination exist in our life.for example ,the HBVER discrimination in China.for CHB patients ,it’s hard to find a job or get the equal rights.I think Only change people's attitudes about hepatitis B, we can fundamentally eliminate the discrimination.Therefore ,in order to improve this phenomenon, I will start from myself and take a correct attitude toward hepatitis B.Besides, I will try my best to promote the knowledge about hepatitis B and make people to get know about this kind of disease.maybe it’ll be the helpful way to make things better.As for as I’m concerned ,this is really an excellent film.it encourage people to get together ,to unit ,to fight for their goal.more importantly, it conveys the black’s hope of being equal and respected and make people to know it’s really poible to get united in spite of the color.I think I’m will to introduce the movie to others ,because it can give us the power to conquer all the difficulties on the way to succe.it make us know that the determination can make our dreams come true.the one scene I will never forget is that ,when Julius and Gerry met in the hospital room ,Gerry looked at Julius and said :brother.it really moved me!The friendship between them conquer the color ,conquer the discrimination ,conquer others’ objection.they can support each other to get through the tough time no matter what happened.
