After readingA Tale of Two Cities.It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishne… that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.This is one of the most famous introductions in the world, and also is one of the most stirring discourses in the whole world.A Tale of Two Cities was written by Charles Dickens, it mainly told us a story about three people.Charles Dickens was one of the English Realists, his novels usually caught my eyes at first, such as his another novel Oliver Twist, but A Tale of Two Cities was very different from his others novels, the book was written in adark and hopele feeling , not humors , not a happy ending.Besides, Charles Dickens has already reached the top of 19th century English Realism.The book is not only about love, the background of it was the French Revolution, so it’s predestinate that there will be a dangerous life story.What impreed me most was at the end of this book.Maybe Carton was the final hero of this book.He devoted his whole life to love.Actually Lucie was loved by two outstanding men.As a matter of fact, both of them had theirs own characteristics.Darnay was an idealized role.I don’t want to doubt why Dickens creates such a prefect role, and he nearly got everything that others want to have.But on the country, I enjoy the person whose name is Carton.He devoted his life to saving his rival.As a matter of fact, I thought Carton is the embodiment of Charles Dickens, Dickens is the first thought of cotton this some kind of spirit and his body turns into the idea of this novel.He was not the main character in this creative novel, but what ha has done had put him to a new height.I wonder if Carton was not so peimistic, will Lucy love him after Darnay’s death.Anything is poible!
I enjoy this special character---Carton.At a friend’s encounter difficulties, beloved husband of the woman about tube executed by the guillotine, he suddenly appeared and was not the reason why the case of saving to their own lives so the price at a crucial juncture to trick rescued their loved her husband!
So , don‘t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.Darnay would be happy even if he has been dead, beacuse he has been the owner of his love.Nothing expec
