In this age and time, we, young generation is becoming increasingly eager about the maturity, while contradictorily, we always lose the directions confused about what to do next.Thus, under this circumstance, we attempt to be “outstanding” by concealing our downsides or shyne, using some disguise and decorations.The story is set in the 1950s, when the haze of the Word WarⅡlingered on in America.While nothing can be done to make subtle change to the society, people behave depreive, lacking in specific goals, leading boring life without any hope and paion.Consequently and naturally, there emerged the “destroyed generation”, one of whom was the main character.Fortunately, owing the remaining glimmer of hope, ultimately after introspection, he found how terrible his life was, and began to correct those bad habits.Rye, not a new word to me, has long been hard to get the exact meaning of it until reading an episode have I get understand the eence of the deeper definition of the Rye.To be brief, keeping the paddy is keeping our dream in some way.The writer reviewed us a very ordinary story with deep moral leons behind it.From a child’s perspective he criticized a host of fraud in the adults’ world;by the sharp contrast the main character’s purity was fully embodied.As regard to the use of languages, the colloquial expreion was the high light, which added infectivity to the masterpiece and resonated with the readers.Actually, the beauty of humanity sometimes could only be discovered in dark, it might be weak but it does exist.It is because we have been blinded by the dirty objects.If we are capable of clearing up the clouds and resisting the temptation, then definitely the most shining point of that light will be intimated and the bright future will be seen in our hands.
