“Forgive yourselves before you die, then forgive others.”
That’s a thought-provoking motto from Morrie and now I’d like to share my opinion about it.Every has once made a mistake, and some may hurt others’ feeling but in most circumstances, s/he didn’t do it by heart.When they come back to say sorry, we often refuse to forgive him.Consider Morrie as an example.Morrie had a great friend named Norman;however, they never got in touched after Norman moved to Chicago which made Morrie felt hurt because Norman didn’t call to greet him even knowing his wife had a serious operation.Over the years when Norman tied to reconcile, Morrie didn’t accept it.It became a lifelong pain for him because his friend died of cancer a few years ago and he had no opportunity to meet him.The story of Morrie educated us that we should learn to forgive.Refusing to accept others’ apology may turn into forever regret.In my eyes, mistakes are forgivable.The more tolerant we are, the more people we can forgive.And after all we can benefit from the friendship we maintain.In conclusion, learning to forgive is of vital importance.What makes Morrie a great man?
Great people have their unique characters, but they also share some personalities in common.Here I want to figure out what makes Morrie a Great man.First, Morrie is a man with great fearlene.Confronted with his poor health conditions, he was never subject to it.Instead, he mustered up all his courage to live each day, coped with any thing with optimism, and even inspired everyone surrounding him.The disease can deprive him of free body, but by no means can it frozen his inner spirit of freedom.He is so convinced of it.Second, perseverance is also an indispensable part of Morrie’s great spirit.Though being aware of death, he still went on his way of learning and exploring and held fast to his dreams.He well proved the famous quote that, “Cease to struggle and cease to live.”
Third, Morrie’s succe can also be attributed to his sincerity.Morrie is a wise man who treated everyone with his true heart.Morrie is oblivious to money and fame, while he put a high value on friendship.Whoever went for him for help, he will give s/he the most useful help.He never hid his ideas from his friends because he wanted to share them to make best use of them.I urge that every one should learn from Morrie and make ourselves a great figure.My view about culture
On the eleventh Tuesday, Mitch and Morrie discued some problems about culture and I have learned a lot from the leon.From my perspective, culture plays a pivotal role in influencing our daily behavior and inner space.People are born with kindne, paion and tolerance.When they are threatened, however, they becomes mean and looks out only for themselves which is caused by our culture.There two reasons that contributed to the problems in our culture.One defect is shortsightedne while the other one that attributes to the problem is that fact that we don’t believe we are as much alike as we are.Only do we look at our potentials can we make the best use of it, dedicate our time into it and remove barrier for our succe.If we see each other as more equal, there will be le quarrels and racisms in this society and we will be eager to care about others.What Morrie urge us to do is to create our own culture.That is of vital importance because it enables us to build a little community of those you love and who love you.We need others in the beginning, in between, and in the end of our life so we should put a premium on providing a unique way of dealing with people.I am really impreed by Morrie’s word, and I believe although his immortality of flesh can not be achieved, his immortal spirit can exist forever.
