Keep a pure heart
Despite I’ve not in my childhood yet, I still prefer reading fairy-tale stories.the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of
some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. This
summer I’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940.It’s the
world-famous fairy-tale by the French author, Antoine de St-Exupery, The Little
Prince.Young Prince“ tell us a lonely and sad child's story, he lives on a young star. One day, he left the star which he lives, starts to travel. He paes through
various star.On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of
people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a busineman, a
lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he gets a conclusion that
the grown-ups are very odd.Following the instruction of the geographer, he
descends in the Sahara, on the earth. And then he come to Earth, he
encounters the author, a snake and then a small fox.He reminds author of
childhood and that lost innocence.finally, he returned to his star. After reading this book, I am really surprised at the magnificent difference
between adults and children. When the author finished his first drawing-a boa
constrictor digesting an elephant, the grown-ups consider it as just a hat.On
the contrary, the little prince recognizes it at the first sight. And they couldn’t
imagine how pretty a house if you tell them that “the house made of rosy brick, with geraniums in the windows and doves on the roof.” Only you say to them
that the house cost $2,000, can they get it.Moreover, the grown-ups are so
busy all the time, get engaged in something but nothing, they have no time to
rest, to think, also to give. What they interest are figures and something
serious. In fact, the difference already exists, it’s our ignorance and numb
heart make us blind. It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is eential is invisible
to the eye.Traveling on the earth, the little prince, who sees a garden of
five-thousand roses, is very astonished and depreed as he considers his
rose is unique in all the world before. At that time a fox appears. The fox, who
tell the little prince about the real meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his
new friend. Then the fox makes him realize that his rose is unique because
she is his rose and tamed by him.“It is the time I have wasted for my rose
that makes my rose so important”, After all, the little prince realizes it by
heart. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be
responsible to his rose.“Night, you looked up at the sky, looking for my star.My heart is too
small, can't show you.So much the better......You put me as thousands
on thousands of stars in a bar, so you will love to watch all the stars, they
will all be your friends......I will live in one of the stars, one star smile. When you look at the sky at night, would like to see all the stars are
smiling general!” It was the most emotional words I have read these years.I
am a star, you can't see.Can you love all the stars in the sky, you will know that I am in the stars smile to you......This is a great feeling, is the most kind-hearted soul. It’s the fraternity that moved us.There are some old saying which have the similar meaning in China. For example, 老吾老以及人之老,幼吾幼以及人之幼。(Care for old and young people like they were your family.)人不独亲其亲,不独子其子。(People should be close to the others who are not their relatives and treat the children who are not their own children.)
There is a kind of responsibility, a responsibility of love and being loved all through the book.I believe, this is a special fairy-tale that written for grown-ups.So they can know their so-called trick is stupid and ignorant in the eyes of a child.Besides, let those whose soul have been polluted to be washed, to
revisit the lost innocence.A grown-up, was once a child: has a seating capacity of their own little star;also concerned about that one only belongs to own rose.No one ever in childhood, but one should always keep a pure heart.
