Self-Introduction
My name is Yang ？？, from the School of Foreign Languages, Southwest University.Learning English is always a pleasure to me, and I have taken every single minute to learn more knowledge of English from various subjects, such as Grammar and Writing, Linguistics, British and American Literature, Introduction to European Cultures.Consequently, I was awarded Firs-Rate Scholarship and Second-Rate Scholarship by the university for my academic achievements, respectively in 2005 and 2006.To be an excellent English teacher is always may dream.I strongly believe that besides excellent academic performance, systematic knowledge of English teaching theories and rich experience in teaching practice are also neceary for a qualified English teacher.Accordingly, I took and did well in such courses as English Teaching Methodology, Pedagogical Psychology and so forth.Meanwhile, I watched many records of English teaching skills contests and learned from these excellent English teachers.As for teaching practice, I worked as a volunteer English teacher for a Sunday English-learning cla for self-taught English learners from September, 2006 and July, 2007.These experiences finally helped me gain the First Prize in the Third National Teaching Skills Contest for Normal University English Majors in 2006.Teaching is an occupation full of challenges.It also requires devotion, open-mindedne, competence in organizing and managing group work.To develop those qualities, I have also actively involved myself in various extracurricular and social activities during the four college years.Things change all the time and there is always something new to learn.I’m every ready to face new challenges and improve myself to make an excellent English teacher.If you give me a chance to start, I will spare no effort to show you that your choice is absolutely right.(282 words)
