Personal Statement The days seem to flash by.Looking back the road I have paed through,I get a feeling that everything is like a dream.There are both smiles and tears on my way to maturity.When it comes to my future,I am eager to held an official position.Maybe it is just like a castle in the air for me at the present time,maybe there is still a long way to go,maybe I will be faced with varieties of obstacles,however,as the saying goes“everything comes to him who waits”,I firmly believe that everyone can realize their dreams as long as they spare no efforts to work on it and never give up.As I was looking forward to going to college when I was a little child,I can hardly suppre my excitement the moment I stepped into the gate of Xiamen University.It is believed that time always flies when you are tasting a wonderful life.I have experienced a lot since I started the beautiful college life,which no doubt will benefit me the whole life.I have a clear memory that I was like a fish out of water at the threshold of last term,lying in a new environment filled with fierce competition.Fortunately,with the help of my seniors and teachers,I adapt to the college life quickly.In my spare time,I was often drowned in graceful music as well as playing basketball,which can refresh me from the stre when I was in a bad mood.Of course,I attached great importance to my study.I spent most of my time in the library losing myself in learning.As you can see,I am such a diligent student.Apart from the knowledge I gained from books,I also learnt a lot from my life.I got the sense of competition and cooperation at the very first of last team when my cla were having competitions with others.In addition,I have learnt some skills of how to communicate with others in a new enviorment.For the moment,I am major in Measurement and Control Technology&Instruments,a subject which is not so good at some people’s point.Neverthele,as far as I am concerned, it is not what kind of knowledge you learn but what kind of capability you equip that matters.Every industry can have its outstanding figures.I believe if I apply myself to my study,I am bound to get ahead in my life one day.As I have mentioned,to be an official is right up my street,so I must prepare for it from now on.Condition permiting,I will seek for further study,which I think will make my dream more touchable.Why was I dying for going to college?why did I dream of becoming an official?The reasons are complicated.I was born in a middle-cla family,living in the countryside all the time.My family is not so well-off that I should help my father and mother do some housework according to my ability when I was young.Sometimes I even had to be knee-deep in the field through the day.No pains,No gains.A little tired as I may feel,I still enjoy my time.It has enhanced my ability of living with hardships and coping with difficulties.Up to now ,it is still an unforgetable memory I treasure.As I can see,white hairs on my paresents’
head has increasingly rised,I don’t want them to work so hard as before,I do hope they have a quiet and ease life when they come to an old age.In addition, since my hometown is lying in the middle of nowhere,there is still great space for its growth of economy.It’s lucky for me to be one of the few undergraduates of our country,so there is neceary for me to be equipped with a sense of responsibility struggling to bring my hometown a bright future.Therefore,its my unshakable duty to make arduous efforts for my parents,for my country and of course for myself.Faced with the increasingly fierce social competition,I know I should adopt my good points and avoid my shortcomings.Also,I should focus most of my time and energy on expanding my knowledge and abilities.I still hold the belief that happine is always accompanied by hardships, and it would turn sunny after rain as well.No matter what obstacles I will meet with,No matter how tough the road will be, I would insist on going and at last I will make it.
