九华山位于安徽省池州市东南境，是安徽省“两山一湖”黄金旅游区的北部旅游景区。风景区面积120平方千米，保护范围174平方千米，现为国家5A级旅游景区，全国闻名风景旅游示范点，是中国四大名山之一；被誉为国际性佛教道场。九华山以自然风光著称于世，南朝时，因此山清秀，高出云表，有九座山峰，故称九子山。唐代诗仙李白游山时观九峰如莲花，写下了“灵山开九华”的诗句，于是改名为九华山。唐朝时，新罗国王子金乔觉航海西来，遍访名山，最终在九华山苦修几十年，圆寂后被称为地藏菩萨“灵迹示现”，从此九华山被辟为地藏菩萨道场。目前，九华山由九华街景区、闽园景区、天台景区和花台景区，今天我们主要游览九华街景区。
九华街坐落化城盆地，四山环抱，是九华山腹地中的一颗明珠。各位游客，我们现在来到的是祇园寺。祇园寺是全国重点寺院，规模居九华山四大丛林之首，现为九华山唯一子孙丛林寺院，由天门、天王殿、大雄宝殿等十多座单体建筑组成。请大家仔细观察一下山门，它偏离了大殿中轴线，歪置山门是有讲究的，一是为了辟邪，二是门向朝着开山祖寺化城寺。过了山门我们就来到了天王殿，殿中央前供弥勒佛，背供韦驮菩萨，你们看那弥勒佛笑口常开，好像在欢迎各位的到来。殿左右是四大天王，这四大天王是佛教护法神，又被称为“护世四大天王”。让我们继续前行，上台阶我们就到了大雄宝殿，殿内供三尊大佛，这是全山最为庄严的一组大佛，中间的是释迦牟尼佛，左边的是药师佛，右边的是阿弥陀佛。两侧供的是十八罗汉坐像，后墙两旁是文殊和普贤菩萨坐像。大殿背墙有一组巨型海岛，塑有观世音菩萨及善财、龙女等大小近百尊群像。
各位团友，请随我来。我们现在所在的位置是肉身宝殿南广场，请大家顺着我手指的方向看，那座宫殿就是“肉身宝殿”。原是3层石塔，安葬金地藏肉身，俗称肉身塔，又名“地藏坟”。因塔基之地曾现金光，后人将此地取名神光岭。现在大家所看到的肉身宝殿是按原貌重修的，保持了原貌。传说金地藏死后，肉身不腐，安葬于地宫，又传佛教僧众每60年打开一次地宫探视地藏灵迹，添油进香。肉身宝殿是九华山的象征。由此北下到定心台要经过九十九级石阶，石阶表示金地藏在九十九岁时圆寂。请各位跟我来，下面我们要游览的是百岁宫。百岁宫始建于明朝，初名摘星庵，又叫百岁庵，供着无暇和尚的肉身。传说无暇和尚在此禅居其间，以黄精、丹参等野生植物为食，日常用针刺舌，用舌血拌和金粉抄写佛经，圆寂时110岁，崇祯三年，被封为应身菩萨，赐肉身塔名莲花宝塔，不久改寺名为百岁宫。百岁宫在建筑上充分利用南高北低的地形，建成了融山门、大殿、肉身殿等于一体的五层走马通楼。大殿利用自然掩体龙头石为脊梁，建筑与掩体巧妙结合，匠心独运。寺与周围峰、石、洞融为一体，殿宇与山体有机结合，巧夺天工。百岁宫建筑为九华山古寺建筑的代表，受到中外游人的一致好评。
