中非企业家投资协会的前身是中非民间商会直属分会，于2005年由北京市政府批准成立，由中央统战部牵头，中国光彩事业促进会、联合国计划署、商务部经济交流中心等单位共同组织发起的国际性高端社团组织。协会宗旨是“爱国、创新、双赢、尊重”。
China-Africa Entrepreneur Investment Aociation is the Sub-institutes Of The China-Africa folk Entrepreneur Aociation as its predeceor.It was aInternational high-end community groups Founded in 2005 by the Beijing municipal government for approval，led by the Central United Front Work Department, organised and initiated by China CSPGP, The United Nations programme and The ministry of commerce economic exchange center.“Patriotism, innovative, win-win and homeage” is the tenent of the aociation.中非企业家投资协会致力于引导中国民营企业“走出去”，和非洲企业一起，利用非洲资源，开拓非洲市场；进一步加强光彩事业的国际交流与合作，扩大光彩事业的国际影响；通过与国内、国际合作伙伴简历密切的联系网络，创造出有利于中非经济技术合作的良好环境，以务实的方式推动中非合作。

协会具有一流水准，和国际化视野，始终坚持服务立会的宗旨，树立以商为尊、诚信服务的理念，不断拓宽服务领域，提高服务水平，在突出政策服务、法律服务、商会服务、生活服务和社会公益活动等方面做了大量卓有成效的工作，在沟通政府与企业联系，改善投资软环境，促进中外交流方面做了大量有益工作，较好的发挥了社会中介组织的桥梁和纽带作用。
