Background of English teaching in primary school:It’s a long history that English is as a subject in primary school in our country and the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’basic abilities of their listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language.Our boys and girls are exposed to English for the first time, so it’s very important to develop their keen interest in English.Ⅰ Contents

This leon is Leon17 of unit 3,Book 6.It includes 3parts:Let’s learn,Let’s talk and Let’s practice.In section 1,it mainly introduce sentence patter:”What do you want to buy? I want a_/some_.And in section 2,it provides a real situation for the Ss to talk about”go shoppong”.In section 3,we set up activies..Ⅱ.Teaching aims

⒈Aims on the knowledge To enable the Ss to understand, the sentences pattern :” What do you want to buy? I want a_/some_.”.To help Ss to finish the task and activities about this leon.Make sure the Ss can use the sentence in real situations.⒉Aims on the abilities

⑴To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and spesking.⑵To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.⑶To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation.⒊Aims on the emotion

⑴In task, the Ss increase their interest and set up self—confidence in language study.⑵To cultivate students the way of “go shopping”.Ⅲ.Key-points of the leon

⑴First of all,to use the sentence structure freely.⑵To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.⑶To develop Ss’ interest in English.Ⅳ.Difficult points

Based on the third grade students' English level , how to consolidate the key in the context of good English atmosphere? Let students feel English charm under the natural condition ,and use easy English to expre themselves.Ⅴ.Teaching methods As we all know :the main instructional aims of learning English primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sence of the English language.So in this leon I’ll mainly use“Task—based”teaching method.That is to say students learn in creating good context.And then, they through the teacher to finish the task.I will arrange several kinds of activities: Free talk, Disicuion, Solitaire Games, Role-play.And in this leon CAI and a tape and some Daily neceities will be needed.Ⅵ.Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing

STEP 1.Warm—up and preview

Chant: one one,please don’t run….Design intent: to attract the attention of students, let the children feel happy.Free talk between teacher and students.Greetings:

T:Good morning ,boys and girls!How are you today?

S:I’m fine ,thanks.And you?

T:I’m fine too.Today is sunny,how do you feel today?

S:I feel_.T:I feel happy.Why?Because I want to play with my friends.Do you want to go with me?

S:Yes!

PURPOSE:It’s important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by speaking and listening at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.STEP⒉Presentation ⒈Show Ss the CAI(Ask:What are they doing?)Ss: walking.T:Good.They’re go for a walk.(他们去散步)Where do they go ?(gue,show the CAI)Ss:shops.T:yes, they walk to the shopping centre.Follow me, the shopping centre

What do you want to buy in the shopping centre? PURPOSE: Summary sentence patterns from the conversation.This design leads to the Ss into their favourite topic.Students can exercise their communication ability.⒉Introduced a variety of shops

PURPOSE: Through the practice ,Ss strengthen the key sentence patterns of understanding.The exercise highlight the keys of this leon.⒊Solitaire Games

Teacher show CAI to Ss to play a game of Solitaire Games.Children can ask and answer by themselves.This game requires speed.PURPOSE: Through the practice ,Students to consolidate the focus of a pattern of usage.STEP3.Role-play

Teacher gives a demonstration, to allow students to imitate.A: Hello!What do you want to buy?
