本节课是新标准英语第一册第三模块第一单元It’s red的第一课时。本课的教学目的是：复习所学对话“What’s your name?”,认知五种颜色，会用五种颜色描述周围事物。
三年级的学生刚接触英语，对英语既陌生又好奇，学生学习积极性很高，但由于其年龄小，注意力很容易迁移，兴趣很不稳定。怎样充分利用课堂45分钟呢？在教学设计中，我以新课标为指导，以课本为依据，抓住学生心理特点，以学生为主体，为学生创设语言环境，在互动轻松的教学气氛中让学生感知所学知识，并注重培养学生的听、说、读、写能力。我设计了以下教学环节：
1.充分运用多媒体课件，道具、头饰等辅助教学，使英语教学生动有趣、引人入胜。
新课标特别强调要激发和培养学生学习英语兴趣，在教学中运用多媒体展示背景大图片，具有直观形象性。给学生强烈的视觉和听觉刺激，使教学简单化，并能激发学生学习兴趣，开阔学生视野，扩大课堂信息量，配合道具、头饰等辅助设施使学生全方位、多感官地接受语言信息，增加了英语教学的趣味性。使学生在轻松愉快的课堂气氛中学习知识。整个课堂创设语言情境，运用情境式教学模式，是知识性和情趣性相结合的快乐学习过程。
2.画一画、演一演、做一做，为学生塔建活动舞台，让学生成为活动主体，为英语教学注入活力。
活动是儿童的天性，是儿童个性发展的根基。每个孩子都有绘画和表演天赋，在本课中我设计了Let’s draw, Let’s do, Let’s act环节，让学生在各个环节中循序渐进，渗透所学知识，让学生在活动中感受语言、理解语言、运用语言，让每一个学生体会到学习的乐趣，感受到成功的喜悦，让活动进入课堂改变了沉闷、枯燥的传统教学模式，为英语教学注入活力。
3.设计符合儿童心理特点的游戏，让学生学中玩，玩中学，使英语教学学中有乐、学中有趣。
游戏是一种激发学生兴趣，能使学生在欢乐的气氛中学习语言、运用语言的最好办法。在本课教学中，我设计“Gue”游戏，以服务于教学目标，有利于教学任务地完成。在游戏中，学生活泼好动的天性得以发挥，老师和学生一起置身于游戏中，增进了师生之间的感情，缩短了师生之间的距离，让学生陶醉在英语游戏和英语学习中，使英语教学学中有乐、学中有趣。
在教学设计中，我旨在为学生创设一个宽松、互动、愉快的学习氛围，是英语课堂趣、活、乐起来，使英语教学寓教于乐，趣味无穷。
