本次授课班级为高二170班的学生。班级学生英语基础薄弱,但学习态度比较认真。多数学生对英语感兴趣。Learning Objectives: Knowledge objectives: 1.Master the new words and phrases.2.Improve the Ss’ speaking skills.Activity objectives:

1: T leads in the leon by showing a video of sandstorm in Beijing, to make Ss understand the information from the visual materials.2: According to this video, Ss are able to know what sandstorm is, and talk about whether they have ever been in a sandstorm and try to gue what the paage they think will talk about.Stage2: Reading Step1:Task1-Pre-reading(activity 2).1:.Ss learn the words in activity 2 with the T to help Ss to understand the paage better.2:.Ss finish the matching in activity 2 individually.3: Ss report their answers by groups.Step2: Task2-skimming(choose the main idea of each paragraph)

1: Ss read the paage and try to match the main idea of each paragraph.2.Ss report their answers by groups.Step3: Task3-Scanning(activity6).1: Ss read read the paage carefully and fill in the blanks given by T to get more information about sandstorms
