Make up for lack of natural talent by hard work
Come to our brief encounter, listen to my gauche speech.I have been loving English since I was a college student.And I have liked to be a teacher since I was a little girl.Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Our city isn’t big nor small, our encountering today is a kind of luck.At first, I should show my acknowledgement for your coming and listening.I have a simple Chinese name, Li Ying.And also a simple English name, Cindy.Though both of my names are common, I love them so much.Like my life, I do a lot of simple things, and I get a lot of simple happine.As an English teacher in junior high school, I always regard my job as a stage that can achieve my dream.I have been loving English since I was a college student.And I have liked to be a teacher since I was a little girl.I love my job because I love my students.I believe the vocation of the teacher is to give the hope to the students.However, it is not favoring for every student when they walk along the road to get the succe in English.I always adopt the different kinds ofprompting methods to encourage my students to speak out, speak with their talents.Once, my student asked me, “Oh, Mi lee, I try my best to learn English.But there are pains, no gains.” When I heard these words, I didn’t feel disappointing but aching.I knew my student had been hard-working, and I thought she might be to lose her heart in English.I felt worried about her problem.Finally, I told her, “ You’re supposed to do the right thing, and you have done it.Nobody can deny your hard work.Meanwhile, You’re supposed to do the right thing in the right way.Learning how to learn is the key point whenever we are studying.That is to say learn it by the way that can make you feel most comfortable.”
After a month, my student came back saying she is feeling happy about learning English now.I asked her how she find her way.She said, “ I don’t think about other’s evaluation too much.And I just study when I want to study, what I want to know about.And then it become easy to get into the meaning of learning English.”
That’s it, everyone is a different leaf from the maple.We love this world just like we love our lives.And I love my job just like I love this world.Time goes fast, remember every little girl has a dream.“Mummy, When I grow up, I want to be a teacher……”
