LOVE, DEVOTE AND ENJOY!

It’s my great honor to be here today!很荣幸今天能站在这里演讲！
It’s my great honor to be a young English teacher of Hebi Foreign Language School!Because of this, I have more chances to learn things, to practice, to show myself, and to develop more quickly than people of the same age.So, first of all, thank you!Tank you for providing us so much!很荣幸我是外中的一名年轻英语教师。因为这点，我有更多的机会来学习、锻炼、展示自己、比同龄人成长的更快！所以，首先，致以我深深的感谢！谢谢学校给我们提供了如此多的机会！
Now, I’d like to talk about the topic from three points, actually three verbs: “love, devote, and enjoy”!
我想从三个方面来说说今天的主题“爱岗敬业、乐于奉献”，事实上，三个动词“爱、敬、乐”。
First, about “love”.首先，关于“爱”。
English has been my favorite since my junior high school.I love it because I have a good English teacher.And at that time, I began to realize the importance of a good English teacher.So, after graduating from the university, when I decided to be a good English teacher, I chose our school because it’s a foreign language school!As an English major, I believed our school must be my best choice!Now, 5years has paed, our school is proved to be a good environment for English teachers!All of the things: the experienced teachers, the activities, trainings, studying, etc give me a good platform to develop!自从初中开始，英语就是我的最爱。我喜欢它因为我有一个很棒的英语老师。也是从那时起，我就认识到了一个好的英语老师的重要性。因此，在我大学毕业，决定当一名好英语老师的时候，我选择了咱们学校，外语中学。作为一名英语教育专业的学生，我相信外中将是我最好的选择！五年过去了，确实，我们学校被证明是英语老师成长的沃土！有经验的老教师、丰富多彩的活动、众多的培训，不断的学习，等等，都给予我良好的发展平台！
So, I want to say, I love being an English teacher, and I love our school!That’s the very beginning of being a good teacher!因此，我想说，我热爱英语教师这份职业，我热爱我们的学校。这正是做一个好老师的起点！
Second, about “devote”.第二，关于“敬”。
As a foreign language school, our students are not chosen by their English grades.They came here with poor English level even no English level at all.However, our students graduated with pretty good English grades.For example, the students graduated this year got 88.1 average scores.That’s almost ten marks more than the second one!The result is not gained by accident.It’s because each of our English teachers devotes ourselves to our students, to English teaching, and to our school!作为一个外语中学，我们学校并不是靠英语分数来录取学生的。很多学生来时英语基础很差，甚至是零基础。然而，我们的学生却以优秀的英语成绩毕业。比如，今年的初三，我们中考的英语平均分是88.1，比第二名几乎高出10分。成绩的取得不是偶然的。它是因为我们每位英语老师把自己奉献给了我们的学生、我们的英语教学和我们的学校！
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, we go to the claroom at seven ten, actually, most of us get there much earlier.And then we begin our busy days!We check the reciting, the dictation papers, and the test papers.And we ask the students to recite to us one by one, and over and over again if neceary!每周二、四、六，我们的英语老师在七点十分，甚至更早就走进了教室，开始了我们忙碌的一天！我们检查背诵、批改听写纸、批改试卷。我们要求每个同学逐个过关！
We devote ourselves not only with our “time”, but also with our “heart”.Take me as an instance.I try my best to give students impreive and lively claes, no matter the new leons or the revision leons.What’s more, I try to use different methods to attract the students’ interest.Last year, the composition seemed to be a big problem to our students of Grade Nine, so I put their compositions on the wall, and asked all the students to find their mistakes and then praised the students who found the most mistakes.And after the test, I wrote a letter to all the students, try to remind them not to make many mistakes in a humorous way.Students learn things and understand the teachers in a happy way.我们不仅仅是靠耗时间来奉献自己。我们用心在努力。以我为例，我尽自己最大努力，给学生们印象深刻、生动活泼的课堂，无论新授课还是复习课。同时，也尽量尝试不同的方法来调动同学们学习英语的积极性。去年教初三时，一度觉得作文成了学生的大问题。我想到“我是找茬王”的方法，让学生把自己的作文贴到外面，让所有的同学都去“找茬”，通过奖励“找茬王”来激励同学们注意自己出现的错误。并在段考后结合同学易错的内容，给全年级同学写了“致各位亲的一封信”，用幽默的方式来提醒同学们注意细节，避免犯类似的错误。这样，同学们在轻松愉快的氛围中学到知识，理解老师的苦心。
So with our everyday physical and mental devotion, our students get good grades.因此，在我们每天的体力和脑力奉献下，我们的学生取得了好成绩。Third, about “enjoy”.第三，关于“乐”。
I have to say “enjoy” is a proce.I enjoy myself when the students can read a new word.I enjoy myself when the students make a good sentence.Once, when we were learning “would rather”, a boy called Ma Yubin said “She would rather cry in a BMW than laugh on a like.” I really enjoy it, and I’m proud of him, and a little proud of myself.I enjoy myself when the students make progre day by day!I also enjoy myself when people admire I’m an English teacher of Hebi Foreign Language School!
我不得不说，“乐”是一个过程。当同学们学会读一个新单词的时候，我开心。当同学们造出一个好句子的时候，我开心。一次我们在学习“宁愿”这个词组，一个叫马煜斌的成绩中等的同学说道“她宁愿坐在宝马上哭也不愿意坐在自行车上笑。”我真的很开心，我以他为豪，也有一点点为自己自豪。
All in all, the English teachers in our school devote more and must enjoy more in the future!So will our Hebi Foreign Language School!总之，我们学校的英语老师付出的多也必将收获更多！我们外中亦如此！
