Today my speech will start with a story.On October 5, 2011, two Chinese cargo ships were attacked along the Mekong River, resulting in 13 Chinese sailors being slaughtered before their corpses were discarded by a Myanmar drug-trafficking lord.This exceedingly inhumane incident shocked the whole nation, and indeed the whole world.Through the countle reports that followed, we were all well-informed of what happened nearest.As a result, the warlord was captured and extradited to China in 2012.He admitted his responsibility for the crime to Chinese authorities and was then condemned to death.Yes,it's the prototype of the film,Operation Mekong.The movie not only shocked the audience but also warned the whole society say no to drugs.Drugs destroy millions of lives every year.The most disturbing aspect of this problem is that the damage drug abuse does to our young people and the threat this represents to the future of every country.Along with the development of society,an increasing number of young people being introduced to drugs.In my opinion, the truth that to say no to drugs is of great urgency.Here I would like to set a series of drugs' examples.The award-winning American actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead at his flat.The cause of his death is taking drugs.The popular actor Zhendong Ke, who once was a spokesman for anti-drugs, was arrested for drugs.The famous balled singer Dongye Song also was arrested for drugs.Why? I think there were many reasons, but the main reason is that they hadn't a good command of the leon of saying no.How to say no to drugs? The first step is to realize that abusing drugs may lead to devastating events in people's lives.These could include prison, homelene,serious medical problems such as an overproduction of serotonin and even death.Secondly, think about what other things in life you can achieve such as activities that are more fulfilling than drugs.Maybe investing in a career, or practicing an instrument.Drugs can destroy family ties, so spend time strengthening bonds with your family and friends.Lastly,just say no.Make sure you are firm and strong.If you come acro as weak the person following you will latch on.I require every teenager to say “no” to drugs.You have more influence on your friends and peers than you could imagine.It all starts with the thought that either it's cool to do drugs or you can just do it once without it affecting you.Drugs have a terribly strong hold on those who falls to them.To make a difference in your friends lives!
