Follow Your Dream 追随梦想
There was a young man born in a poor family.As a result, his school career was by no means easy.Once he was asked to write a paper about his dream.That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his dream of having a horse ranch(农场).He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drew a picture of a 4,000-square-foot house that would sit on a 200-acre horse ranch.He put a great deal of his heart into this homework and the next day he handed it in to his teacher.Two days later he received his paper back.On the front page was a large red F with a note---“See me after cla.” The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after cla and asked, “Why did I receive an F?” The teacher said, “This is an unrealistic dream for a young boy like you.You have no money.You have no resources from your family.There’s no way you could ever do it.” Then the teacher added, “If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic aim, I will reconsider your grade.”
The boy went home and thought about it.He asked his father what he should do.His father said, “Look, son, you have to make up your own mind on this.However, I think it is a very important decision for you.”
Finally, the boy turned in the same paper, making no changes.He stated, “You can keep the F and I’ll keep my dream.”
Now my friend Monty and I are sitting in his 4,000-square-foot house in the middle of a 200-acre horse ranch.Two years ago that same school teacher brought 30 kids to camp out(露营)on his ranch.When the teacher was leaving, he said, “Look, Monty, I can tell you this now.When I was your teacher, I was something of a dream stealer（偷梦人）.During those years I stole a lot of kids’ dreams.Fortunately you had enough courage(勇气)to realize your dream." 有一个出生贫穷的年轻人，因此它的学习生涯并不是一帆风顺。有一天老师布置了一篇作文，题目是“长大后的梦想”。那天晚上，年轻人写了七页的作文，他梦想者拥有自己的马场，甚至画出了200亩马场的示意图，里面详细描绘出了4000平方尺的房屋平面图。可以看出他花费了很多的心思在这个马场上，第二天他开心的将作文交到了老师的手里。
两天后他收到了改过的作文，老师给他的作文得了一个很低的分数，而且写着“课后来找我”。于是这个拥有梦想的年轻人找到了老师，问道：“为什么我的作文得了低分？”老师答道：“这个梦想对于像你这样的年轻人太不切实际了。你没有钱，你的家庭也不能给与你很多帮助，你是没有办法实现这个梦想的。”老师又说道：“如果你能根据自身实际情况再写一遍这篇作文，我会重新考虑你作文的分数。”
这个年轻人回到了家，想了很久，他问他的爸爸该怎么做。父亲说：“儿子，你需要自己决定，而且我认为这个决定会影响你的一生。”他思考了一周，将一篇没有任何修改的作文交到了老师手里，并说道：“你可以给我低分，但我要拥有梦想”。
回想起起这个事情的时候，我和我的朋友Monty已经坐在拥有4000平方尺的房屋的马场上。两年前，我年轻时候的老师带着30个孩子来我的马场露营。临走的时候，他对我说：“Monty, 我想对你说，作为一名老师，我在过去，曾经偷走过很多孩子的梦想，而你的梦想与努力成就了现在的你”
不要让任何人偷走你的梦想，无论如何，追寻梦想。
