---Live your dreams Good evening, Ladies and gentlemen.My name is Wendy, and I’m very glad to stand here to give you a short speech.Today my topic is: Live your dreams.First, I want to ask you a simple question.What is the meaning of youth in your mind? Well, some people say that youth is a song echoed the cheerful beautiful melody, while some people say that youth is a draw engraved with the rich romantic colors.However, in my opinion, the proce to live your dream is the most beautiful song of the youth.Now let’s take Helen Keller for an example.Despite the fact that she is blind and deaf, Helen always have a dream deeply rooted in her mind.She said in her famous book that:
A potent force within me, stronger than the persuasions of my friends, stronger than even than the pleadings of my heart, had impelled me to try my strength by the standards of those who see and hear.I know that there obstacles in the way, but I was eager to overcome them.That is Helen Keller’s youth, filled with every day’s hard work, the eager for knowledge.So step by step, she finally made her dream come true.J.Barrymore’s famous saying comes that: A man is not old as long as he is seeking something.A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.Just imagine what our youth will be like without dreams.Might be so boring and hollow, right?
I still remember the day when I first step into this big university, feeling so worried and confused for a long time.Why? Because my goals were not clear at that time.But now, it’s time to wake up, to find out what our dreams are and occupy ourselves in hard work.Because that is the very eence of the youth!Because that is what we must do in the youth!
