Hello everyone, today I want to introduce a book to you.It’s name is Gone with the Wind.I like this novel very much, and I hope that you will also like it as I do.The author of the book is Margaret Mitchell, who borned in Atlanta, Georgia.She spent her childhood in the laps of Civil War veterans and of her maternal relatives.After graduating from Washington Seminary, she attended Smith College.But just one year later, in 1918, She returned to Atlanta to take over the household after her mother's death.Before that year there was flu pandemic of 1918 from the great Spanish.Margaret Mitchell admired people who had gumption, people who fought their way through hard times succefully and came out as survivors.She said if her novel, Gone with the Wind, had a theme it was survival, “She brought a promising meage to all people.That is ”Tomorrow is another day."
This book is Margaret Mitchell's first and the only published best-selling.This novel had a great succe throughout the United States and even all around the world.It has been translated into about 27 languages in 37 countries.At present, Gone with the Wind is still one of the best-selling novels in the world.The story happened in the period of American Civil War.The main character, Scarlett, an unique girl, who had special personalities, once
she was a happy girl.When she was 16,she was so beautiful that many
boys around her all day.She lived in a rich family.But she still had her
own pain.She loved a gentleman called Ashley Wikes who would marry
to Melanie Hamilton.In order to make Ashley sad, she married to
Charles Hamilton.But soon after that, the Civil War came.And Charles
died in disease.One year later , she gave birth to a little boy.At that
time ,she was just 17 years old.Then Scarlett moved to Atlanta, staying
with Melanie, and met Rhett Butler and had more opportunities to stay
with the man who she loved most.But at that time she didn’t realize
that.After not a long time, the northern people invaded Atlanta.People in
the city leave Atlanta so did Scarlett.Scarlett decided to return back to
her homeland Tara, with the help of Rhett Butler.Through tough
hardships, they safely arrived Tara.But everything there was all ruined.The war took all things away from her home.She became a poor woman.In order to live on, she did farm work by herself,what’s more ,shekilled
a man to protect her family and herself.After the south rising up the white flag, she tried her best to work
and made money for her families and Tara.So she got married to
Kennedy.But soon she was widowed again.Kennedy left a daughter to
her.Finally, she married with Rhett Butler and had a baby, Bonny.She
lived a happy and rich life with Rhett Butler.But Scarlett still thought she
loved Ashley which caused a conflict between Rhett and her.Unfortunately, one afternoon, their daughter died because of riding
horse carelely.And in the end of the story, her husband also left her.In
her eyes, nothing is more important than herself.She could run through
the war, but she hadn't grown up by this.She didn't know what she
really want, and always ran after the thing she couldn't get, and was
never satisfied with her condition.The result is terrible,she lost all she
had!
“I'll think of it all to-morrow, at Tara.I can stand it then.To-morrow, I'll
think of some way to get him back.After all, tomorrow is another day.”This is the ending words of the movie, which makes sense to the point.“Tomorrow is another day” gives people hope and power to trust the
poibility of tomorrow.Time can change everything and bring people a
