男：Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests and honorable judges, welcome to our 2012 FLTRP Cup English Public Speaking Contest at Chengdu University of Information Technology.女：我是今晚的主持人XX。非常荣幸为大家主持这样一场高水平的英语竞赛。
男：I’m XXX from the Department of Foreign Languages.It’s my great honor to host this contest.And also we are happy to stand here and have this opportunity to share something with you guys.女：经过层层选拔，12位选手已经通过预赛证明了他们的出色。相信他们会在接下来的决赛中展现出他们最精彩的一面，给大家带来最震撼的表演！
男：Today is the final stage of this qualifying competition in our university.The 12 winners from the preliminary will display their talents in speaking in English tonight.We believe they will give us their best performances, and we also believe that you, the audience will enjoy the excitement！

女：接下来我们再为大家介绍一下今天的比赛规则。我们的比赛分为两个部分。第一部分是定题演讲和问答环节。每个选手有三分钟的演讲时间，在问答环节我们的评委XX老师和XX老师将会对选手提问两个问题，每个问题只有一分钟的作答时间。之后我们会选出得分最高的前六名选手进入第二轮即兴演讲环节，题目到时会由工作人员交给选手，即兴演讲环节每个选手有两分钟的时间演讲并回答评委的两个问题。演讲时间前后误差超过15秒会扣分，离规定时间还有30秒以及时间到的时候会有工作人员举牌示意。
男：Now let’s go over the rules of tonight’s contest.The contest is mainly divided into two rounds.The first round is prepared speech.The topic is What We Cannot Afford to Lose.Remember, there are only 3 minutes for speaking and 1 minute for answering each question from our question masters——Mr.XX and Mr.XX.Then the top six contestants will enter the second round——impromptu speech.In this part we will give each of contestant 2 minutes to display.After the performance there still have two questions to be answered.女：等了这么久，我们的比赛终于就要开始了，接下来让我们有请12位参赛选手闪亮登场！
