Good morning honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:
Today it is my great honor to be here and give my opinion about teaching work.My topic is how I use teaching facilities.First of all, we should know that any teaching facility,including multimedia, is only a means of aistant in claroom teaching, not a decisive one.However, by using teaching facilities properly we can achieve our teaching goals in a highly effective way.In traditional claroom, English teachers had only two helpers, a textbook and a blackboard, which made their work boring and ineffective.Nowadays, along with the development of the society, more and more teaching facilities are available, such as wall-pictures, flash cards,caette tape-recorder and projector, especially multimedia and Internet,whose role is all the more important in modern English teaching.If we use these facilities correctly, properly and skillfully, wewill undoubtedly make our claroom teaching more vivid and effective.While using teaching facilities, we should follow some principles.Firstly, teaching facilities are only teachers’ aistants, do not use them too much, because most of the time in cla should be left for students’ language practice.Secondly, we should get actual eff
ect by using teaching facilities.Thirdly, operate the facilities skillfully so as to save time.Now, I would like to tell you how I use teaching facilities.Sometimes, when I teach the new words I use the word flash cards to help the students recognize, read and gue the words.When I teach new sentence patterns I show wall-pictures to encourage the students to speak out the sentences.Then, I use tape recording to correct students’ pronunciation and intonation, so that they can speak English with more beautiful pronunciation and intonation.Multimedia is also used in my teaching.By using Multimedia more information and material are shown in cla.It’s very convenient to set various language situation for students to practise, including memorizing new words and making creative dialogues.For example, when I taught “Do you like pears?” I use courseware to show a supermarket to teach the new words about fruit, then let them make a dialogue in groups about the supermarket and find out the answers to “what’s your favorite fruit?” and use the new sentence pattern “do you like …?”.Multimedia makes my teaching work easily and effectively.Neverthele, there is much left for me to explore the teaching art by using teaching facilities.I will try my best to design more efficient teaching mode combining various teaching facilities.That’s all!Thank you very much!
