Respectable leaders , ladies and gentleman, Good morning!It’s my great honour to give this speech.My topic is “the chance”.During the past days, I experienced and felt much.Those happy memories were just like the shining stars in the night sky.Everyone was one love story that touched myself.But amazingly the deepest memory was the most romote thing that happened in the first year of my career.He was such a troublesome boy : not only aggreive but also a lier with poor learning and bad habits.All of my colleagues advised me to give him up.Even both his divoced parents were irresponsible to him.So I needed to push myself into a big trouble.I walked to the claroom door with curiosity:was that him? One big boy was throwing the paper planes around.At that moment I was so mad and I wanted to stop him strictly, But I thought teaching is an artistic skill.So I held my temper and talked to him kindly: “You must be the English monitor.Are you trying to settle them down to welcome your new English teacher?” He was confused by my words.And I was continually patient: “OK, I appreciate your organization ability, so would you like to help me to organize the students before cla? ”He watched me unbelievably, and there was a glance of
surprise and excitement in his eyes.That moved me: Maybe it was too long time for him not to be trusted;maybe he had too much criticism.Now I give him a chance to show himself, he was so excited that he couldn’t help smiling.I asked him to spell a word.He watched me unconfidently and shaked his head.I pad his shoulders and said: “Don’t be shy just a try”.He stood up and spelled the word with hesitation.All the students laughed at him because of the wrong spelling.But I said to them: “I believe John is a very smart boy.So I think he can spell it out correctly if he do it again, Do you want him to try it again?” “Yes!” This time he really gave the correct answer loudly.All of us applauded him for his big succe.I noticed a smile appeared on his lips.The next morning, I found a paper plane on my desk and there was a hardship picture in it: it says: “ Ivy , I love you!”I know that’s him the changing boy.He changed a lot: studying hard, helping others and striving to accomplish everying.Now he has become a big handsome boy.But I’ll never forget that little boy who was watching me gratefully.A troublesome child is always a child who has enormous eager.And the most important thing for the educators to do is to protect the most precious thing self-esteem.And we teachers should be good at helping students to establish the positive attitude through
encouragement.I put them in my mind for my dear students.Yes.All the sdudents should be equally treated by their teachers.But give more attention and respect to those weaker students.And they will take us as their friends.As a return, they will become better and better.So let every child have their chance to become the leading role.Thank you for listening!
