The pursuit of happine is my top concern
Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman, distinguished guests and honored judgers.My name is XXX, contester NO.X.My topic to share with you today is “my happine is my top concern”.I believe everyone present pursue happine whenever and wherever.For a child, happine is playing cops and robbers in the woods or getting a new bike;For a teenager like me, happine is having a girlfriend walking along the seaside, hand by hand;For an adult, happine is earning a good salary and living in a harmonious family.My dictionary defines happy as “lucky” or “fortunate”, but I think a better definition of happine is “the capacity for enjoyment”.The more we can enjoy what we have, the happier we are.It is easy to overlook the pleasure we get from love and being loved, the company of friends, the freedom to live where we please, even good health.Frankly speaking, if we are cheerful and contented, all nature smiles with us------the air seems more balmy, the sky more clear, the earth has a brighter green, the trees have a richer leaves, the flowers are more fragrant, the birds sing more sweetly, and the sun, moon and stars all appear more beautiful.It is a grand thing to live------to open the eyes in the morning and look upon the world, to drink in the pure air and enjoy the sweet sunshine, to feel the pulse bound and the being thrilled with the
consciousne of strength and power in every nerve.It is a good thing simply to be alive, and it is a good world to live in.He who goes “prospecting” to see what he can daily discover is a wise man, training his eye to see beauty in everything and everywhere.Finally, I wanna tell you that happine is a journey, not a destination.There is no better time than right now to be happy.So work like you don’t need money, love like you’ve never been hurt and dance like no one’s watching.That’s all for my prepared speech, thank you very much.
