I’m honorned to have this oppority to take this competition.So first,let me introduce myself: my name is jane and I’m from the xx college.I love travelling and speaking English , so these are the reasons why I’m here.I believe I can learn so many things in this competition.So today, the topic I want to speak is “follow your heart”.I felt so depreed and comfused the first year when I got in college.It was so devastating and I didn’t know what to do.It seems that the college entrance examination let me down.I thought about other people’s opinion, follow other people’s minds, did what other people want me to do.But I was not happy.Gradually, something get dawn on me.It was in the last term that I realized I were losing myself.I knew I have to change something right now.so after a long consideration, I slowly calm down.I heared a voice in my inner said:”follow your heart ”.maybe their advice is good, but for myself, I should have my own opinion about myself, I must find what is truly suit for myself, not about others.In this society, it becomes more and more difficult to follow your heart, but as steve jobs, who found the apple, said: you have to trust in something---your gut, destiny, life,karma,whatever.Because following your heart will let you know who you are and what you truly want to be.and that will make a big difference.Each of us is only one among million of others, each of us is an individual and each of us is unique.Don’t let the noise of others dawn out your own inner voice.Most important, have the courage to follow your heart.Thank you!
