1Post90‘s--The rising generationSome people remark us Post 90s as the Net Generation, for
we grow up with the internet.Concerning the
disadvantages of the internet, they describe us as puerile,and feeble, and downhearted, and smug.They allege us to
have poor prospects.There is no denying that our growth is closely related to the
development of the internet.It has been so common for us
to log on to the internet, click the links and spend our online
time on relaxations, entertainments, virtual social activities
and even studies.It’s quite convenient and efficient and
benefits us a lot.But the point is, can the Net Generation be completely
synonymous with us, the Post 90s? Definitelynot.Network is not what our life is all about.The meaning of
Post 90s is much more vivid and colorful and abundant than
the plain phase Net Generation can tell.And I can show you plenty of examples.Don’t you remember the optimistic tough boy called Xue Xiao who lost his right arm in the Wenchuan Earthquake? When you heard his saying ” Bring me a coke.A frozen one, please” to the rescuers who dug him out from the ruins, didn’t you feel his love for life, his perseverance in ideals, his confidence to prospects? He is a Post 90s!
Don’t you remember the three courageous students of Yangtze University who lost their lives when rescuing two drowning teenagers.When you heard their jumping into the river without hesitation, didn’t you feel their brave hearts, their perfect spirits, and the magnificent glow of their brief lives? They are Post 90s!
Can’t you see the enthusiastic and profeional volunteers
around you, who are trying every effort to help others? Can’t you see the aspiring youths around you, who are striving after their aspirations? Can’t you see the diligent students around you, who are studying hard to acquire knowledge and wisdom? Most of them are Post 90s!
How could you say that we Post 90s are not a vigorous generation?
How could you say that we Post 90s are not a thoughtful generation?
How could you say that we Post 90s are not a positive generation?
We know who we are.You should never look down upon us, the Post 90s, a developing generation with extraordinarily immense potential.Of course, you can say” look at those Non-mainstreams”.Admittedly, some so called Non-mainstreams flood the internet.Under the influence of some harmful culture on the Internet, they indulge themselves into some kind of unhealthy life style.And some of them got an Internet Addiction.But Non-mainstream is not the mainstream of us Post 90s.Most of us are the rising sun, full of vigor and vitality.What I also believe is that, with their gradual growth, the Non-mainstreams will be ashamed of their once performance and select a more rational manner to expre their individuality, rather than strain after novelty by praising odiousne and fallacy as if they are beauty and truth.So what would you say?
Yes, we are Post 90s.But we are not only the Net Generation.We are a vigorous generation.We are a thoughtful generation.We are a positive generation.We are a developing generation.We are the Rising Generation!
