Good evening, respected teachers and dear friends!I’m so happy and honored to be able to enter the semi-finals of this speech contest.Today my topic is: My English Study, I will share my own experience of English learning.As the days go on, it is very important for us to learn English well.However, learning English is not so easy for usbecause the lack of language environment.Therefore, we urgently need to find more effective methods to master English.When I was young, I studied English like most students do, word back, dictation and recite，I thought that I can learn English well.But it turns out I was wrong, although I have done quite well in exam, I can’t use English to communicate with others.That’s dumb English, even though I have learned English for ten years.Until then I realizeEnglish learning is different from other subjects because the language is a tool rather than knowledge.SoI change my way to learning English.I try to communicate with others in English.Yeah, I won’t be afraid to lose face.I told myself that it doesn’t matter and then I’m standing here to speak something out.I joined a group of WeChat, which is makes up of the China Daily’s readers who come from different countries.We exchange ideas, share our lifein English.They are very cheerful, I love this group!
Except to speak more English, I will read some English story books, my favorite one isThe Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, which is not only improved my vocabulary, and gave me some moving and enlightenment.Overall, my English study is to continue to use it, use it to communicate and learn other knowledge and culture.Maybe this is not the best way to learn English, but it is extremely effective.I hope you, everyone in here, can find your most effective method to learn English.That’s all.Thank you for your attention.
