Nowadays, the problem of the environment has become one of the biggest concerns as our living conditions are getting worse.The most important reason is that people develop economy at the price of the environment;we have to think about, Environment and Development, Which Is More Important.On the one hand, some people think that the urgent task is to develop the economy on a large scale.They hold the opinion that, many people, especially in rural areas, are living in poverty.As a result, many children drop out of school and a lot of people can't afford medical treatment.They believe that only by further developing our economy can we live happier.So, it’s time for us to protect the environment until we reach this goal.On the other hand, many people insist that environment protection should be a top priority.First, they claim that we have only one mother earth, if our ecological environment is heavily polluted or ruined, we could not even survive on this planet.Second, they believe, as most parts of the world are badly polluted.We should do our best to improve our environment until it is too late.As far as I am concerned, the environment is much more important.Money is not the only source of happine, when people live in harmony with the nature, they can get psychological satisfaction.In my opinion, earth is our only home;we have a lot to do to protect it.Firstly, we should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education.Secondly, efforts should be made in order to put the environment protection policy into practice.Finally, those people destroying the environment intentionally should be severely punished.Fortunately, more and more people have realized these matters.What's more, measures have been taken to cope with these problems.As we know, laws have been paed for stopping pollution.In short, I hope the problem will be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.
