When I first got the topic, I thought a lot about it.We had a great deal of things such as health, wealth, fame and so on cannot afford to lose.It was not until I started to prepare the speech that I realized we cannot afford to lose courage.Courage like an engine, make us see the hope and give us a bright future.Courage is another kind of confidence.When we make our minds to do something, there is always someone who tells us that we can never be succeful.Let us see, if we do not have courage to make the first step, how poible can us succeed.Courage brings us power that we are able to believe our choices.Just like me, I signed up for the contest, fearing as I did so.I am not confident with my spoken English;it’s so difficult for me to make a speech on the stage.However, I stand here today;maybe I can stand here again.Almost of us are afraid of failure, but my heat tells me: only once failure cannot attach much importance to my promise.It does n’t matter but I am at least experienced.In addition, courage is an ability to stick to.Some of us feel like to be brave, at meantime, we design our future.Nervele, the path we chosen are full of difficulties.We often remind the words that persuade us to give up.The voice leads us to doubt ourselves.Despite of this, we are also to get power from courage.The courage is another voice tells us to ignore the problems and make our decision at once, then, go ahead.In fact, on most occasions, what we are frightened of is nothing but the fear we fabricate.Who we should defeat is nobody but ourselves.The courage brings us the hope.We extremely know the real meaning of the insistence.It is the strong and courageous men who lead and guide and rule the world.The weak and timid leave no trace behind them;whilst the life of a single upright and energetic man is like a track of light.Our example is remembered and appealed to;and our thoughts, our spirit, and our courage continue to the inspiration of succeeding generation.Ary Schffer, the artist, once wrote to his daughter:“Dear daughter, strive to be of good courage, to be gentle hearted;there are the true qualities for woman.” I am courageous to be this kind of person ,brave, confident, and positive.Therefore, that we cannot afford to lose is our courage.we need the courage to help us to fight, to live, to create a beautiful world.
