English Speech-Chinese Dream Dream is a kind of stuff held by the whole nation.It is dream that lights up our way forward in darkne.How can someone live without a dream? Without dream, there‟s no goal;without dream, life is as flat as water.There‟s nothing to strive for, nor the reason to strive for it.President Xi Jinping once said: “Everyone has lofty ideas, pursuits and dreams.” At present, as the Chinese dream becomes a hot topic in the public, I think realizing the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation has been the greatest dream of Chinese nation ever since the modern times.This dream integrates the long-cherished wishes of Chinese people in generations and reflects the collective interest of Chinese nation and its people.This dream is the common anticipation of every Chinese people.In fact, it is not difficult to have a dream.As the succeor of the 21st century and the hope of our nation, we should establish an ambitious idea from childhood.Here‟s an inspirational youth story we are very familiar with-Li Yanhong, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Baidu.As “the most valuable privately owned brand in China”, Baidu has become an epitome of Chinese private enterprises over the 12 years‟ development.Li Yanhong, a man who was born after 1960s and has been pursuing his “Chinese dream” unremittingly, has received approval and highly comments from many circles.At the age of 19, he left his hometown-Yangquan, Shanxi with a traveling bag and entered Peking University, the dream of many students.At the age of 23, he majored in computer in State University of New York, in Buffalo, U.S after graduating from Peking University.At the age of 31, he established the biggest search engine company in China-Baidu Network Technique Co., Ltd.August 5, 2005 is a day all the Baidu people should remember-the day when Baidu was listed in NASDAQ in America.However, this great news didn‟t satisfy Li Yanhong, instead, it motivated him to keep striving for the excellence.There‟s no finishing line in his dictionary.He once talked about his opinion about crisis in the TV show “A Date with Luyu” many years ago like this: “comparing with standing in the starting line and watching harvests, I prefer viewing today from the future perspective, and I often wonder „what I will become in two years?‟ This is something absolutely different from today.Such crisis awarene helped him stick to the attitude as a learner and explore continuously with overwhelmed pioneering spirit.It is also the same attitude that motivates him in the road to the biggest website in the Eastern hemisphere.The most beautiful footnote of Li Yanhong is concentration.Ever since Baidu was established, his dream has never changed.During the National People‟s Congre and the Chinese Political Consultative Conference in 2012, as a member of the twelfth national committee of CPPCC, Li Yanhong expreed very sincerely in the interview with a journalist from Chinese Youth Web that his dream can transcend the internet and survives.“Let people acquire information and find what they need more equally and quickly”-that‟s the goal he has been striving for ever since the establishment of Baidu.What he did is more than focusing on the internet.He studies how to find a tool that facilitates people acquiring daily information more conveniently.Such “practicability” is not merely realized by the internet.If this dream comes true, Li Yanhong will attain more advantages than others, because he can “accept”-accept the opinions, pursuits and differences of others.Confronting with certain new challenges, he can listen to the opinions of the majority attentively.He always believes that no matter how knowledgeable and experienced you are, you can only cover a very limited area.In a real team, everyone should share the established knowledge, experience and leons with the newcomer selflely, so that he/she can grow rapidly on the shoulder of the predeceor.If everyone can take the initiative to share, we are no more an addition, but a multiplication, and the efficiency and “intelligence” of the whole team will increase continuously.In the interview with the journalist from China Youth Web, Li Yanhong said: “Each one of us has different specialty, we should find the thing we like and are good at, and stick to it.” This is what he has been advocated for a long time.In the meanwhile, he also fulfilled this with his own examples and practices.Just like Li Yanhong wrote in Fate is Grasped in Your Own Hands, “Everyone should pursue the thing that fits him, do the thing he likes and is good at, because only by doing these can he stick to the end and doesn‟t quite or change the direction he‟s marching toward easily whenever there are difficulties.I believe after achieving these, succe won‟t be far away.Your destiny will also be distinctive because of these.”
He is far-sighted and good at complete enlightenment.He lights up others‟ dreams with his own dream and at the same time, plants some new dreams.As the image of this model is set up in my heart, my Chinese dream is a more powerful China and the inheritance of the long standing history and culture of Chinese nation.And since I‟m a small individual, I think my Chinese dream should be start from trifles around me bit by bit.Only by becoming more powerful can I make contributions to the powerful China.I must enrich myself, so I registered Busine Management major of Long-distance and Continuing Education College of Beijing Jiaotong University.Up till now, I‟ve completed 14 courses and kept the score of each course above 75.In the meanwhile, as I fulfill all the homework and aignments in time, I also help other clamates solve questions about online study.I think my dream is based on being dependable and meticulous, helping more people and doing more good things, and also perfecting my work.Only with small steps can I cover a long distance and be one step closer to my Chinese dream.This is the dream of us and our nation.Combine your dream and my dream, and we can have a common dream-the “Chinese ream”.Now, let‟s put the size and length of our dream aside, and fly the rejuvenation dream of Chinese nation together with President Xi Jinping.Let‟s place our youth in dreams and enrich our life in the journey of our Chinese dream!
