2.To Master the sentence pattern “how…”and the use of “take a/the…(by …).” 3.To improve Ss’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and exchanging information skills.4.To combine the language knowledge with the practice and to exchange information and learn the team spirit.Teaching contents: Transportation

1.The new words and expreions in this part.2.The sentence pattern “how…”and the use of “do”.Key teaching points:(1)The vocabulary: subway, bicycle, train, bus, bus station, train station, a station, walk.(2)The sentence pattern of “how”.The difficulties of teaching: To discu and describe what traffic tools to be used to go to the destination.Teaching procedures 1.Review the content of last cla.First of all, I will use a question sentence” How do you get to school?” to help Ss to review the last cla’ content, the simple ways of transportation, such as, walk, bus, bike, etc.2.Learn the new words Some pictures about transportation will be showed for my students.This is the content of this cla.Ss should guest what it is in the picture, such as, subway, airplane, spacecraft, and motorbike.After all these words, I will lead them to read them again.3.Practicing the words

I will make conversations with them and show them PPTS so as to teach them how to use verb phrases: “take a/the …” and “by…”.Here I will ask Ss some questions to use the words we have learned just now.The questions will be:

How do you get to the cinema? How do you get to Beijing? How do you get to America? How do you get to the Moon? 4.Summarizing the target language

Here I will summarize the features of the language we have practiced that is how to ask people how to get to a place.A: How do you get to …?

B: I get to … by… 5.Pair Work Ss will be asked to talk about how they get to some place using the words and sentences we have learned just now.After two minutes two or three groups will be asked to present their conversations.Purpose: exchanging information and learning the team spirit.6.Listening Listen to the tape.Purpose: practicing the listening skill.7.Homework
