Good morning,distinguished teachers！Today my topic is Better Environment Better Life.As we all know, the topic of 2010 Shanghai EXPO is better city better life.Why? Obviously, the environment of cities are better.There is no doubt that we prefer to live in the city.The reason is that we enjoy our life to the fullest.So we built a better city for a better life..And many people lived in the countryside come to the city to look for a better life.But I think what we really want/need is a better environment.But the environment is getting worse.Not only does it affect our health, it also has a great impact on our future.Due to lacking of environmental concepts, people's health has been greatly affected by air, noise and water pollution.In order to live a better life, we need a cleaner world.We should now be concerned for environment by creating a better future for our next generation.Our environment is very important for our lives.We need the fresh air, the clean water and so on.In the past, there were many trees around us ,the air was fresh and the river was clean.But now,people cut down many trees.Air pollution and water polloution are very serious.The environment around us becomes very terrible.So it’s our duty to protect our environment.No matter where we live , we should do something to keep our neighborhood clean and tidy.We can collect waste paper or other waste things for recycling.We should plant more trees and we should prevent those factories from pouring waste water into rivers, lakes and fields.We shouldn’t leave rubbish everywhere and spit in public places.If everyone tries his best to protect the environment , the world will become much more beautiful and our life will be better and better.In the end ,I hope my speech will give you a good impreion and make something great.That s all,thanks for your listening!
