The rate of youth crime is rising in many countries? What are the causes of this trend? Suggest some solutions to it.REPORT: It is true that many countries is confronted with an increasing rate of youth crime. In this eay, I will discu the causes and put forward some poible solutions.three main factors are responsible for increasing youth crime. The first reason is the exceive exposure to inappropriate materials, including glorified violence portrayed in films , in TV programs, as well as in the games and sexual images in some websites of nefarious purposes.Vulnerable and curious as youngsters seem, they tend to pick up the bad behaviors quickly and their innate ability of imitation would make those bad behaviors poibly applied in particular situations.Secondly, children are so much spoilt due to the decreasing birth rate as to behave self-centeredly, inconsiderably, peremptorily. It is not uncommon that parenting education in the one-child family is indulgency rather than strictne.Furthermore, as divorce rate rising, the number of single parent families increases. That children from these families usually feel self-abased and are even bullied by their peers contribute to their distorted mentality.Long-term preure and repreion accumulate and release by the vent of revenge to the society at a certain time.A range of measures should be taken to reduce the crime rates.Apparently, the solution to the problem lies with the government, who need to establish more comprehensive supervision system both of the internet and of the videos acceible to the public. This system should be able to filter almost all the unhealthy materials to ensure a healthy entertaining environment for the public, especially for the young.Additionally, if parenting education emphasized more on children’s mental health, the root cause of crime would be addreed.One-child families should enhance the children’s independence , responsible sense, and consideration of others. As for the divorced families , more counseling provided to children may be the crucial element. In summary, three main causes lead the rising youth crime rate.I believe that several measures should be taken by both government and families to solve the problem.Charities cannot help everyone in the world, so they should only try to help people in their own communities and countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree? ARGUMENT Nowadays, in modern society there are various organizations and widespread charities springing up to help certain people in need.Admittedly, it is unrealistic that charities are available to everyone around the world. However, we cannot reach the conclusion that charities are only limited to aist ones living in their own communities and countries.Obviously and undoubtedly, it is of no poibility for charity organizations to reach everyone in the world, even if many people do their utmost to achieve the ideal.Firstly, suffering people would be ignored, if their situation were not be reported by the media or be delivered to the charity organizations. In this condition, how do the suffering people be gave a aid by charities ? Additionally, donated money may be taken away by some greedy local officials and cannot aid the targeted people.Although, charities members learn the disasters and make contribution of funds and goods.Corruption and embezzlement make charities’ efforts wasted. That means the suffering people continue to suffer.Impoible as charities’ aid to everyone is, charities should not merely give aid to people in their own countries and communities. The first reason lies with the socially harmony. For example, if individuals focused to their interest, there would be no donations and charities in the world.Meanwhile, the society will be indifferent and unfriendly.Furthermore, so limited and precious donations are that should be given to help people in great need rather than to consider the nationality, communities and races. There is no denying that when disasters happen, time takes the priority for its importance of lives. That means it is no time to emphasize the attribution but giving aid to people in great need. Finally, as economic and medical conditions in some countries are still in low-level, people from high developed countries should be morally obligated to help them.Actually, many charities and people of social responsibility and caring heart have taken action to help people in some poor countries.Medical teams from over twelve countries flying to help fighting Africa Malaria is a case in the point. In summary, while charities cannot reach everyone all over the world, it is neceary for them to help people in great need instead of in their own countries or communities.People who immigrate to a new country should accept the new culture as their own rather than live as separate minority groups with different lifestyles. To what extent do you agree or disagree.ARGUMENT: It is has been proposed that instead of living as separate minority group with different lifestyles, immigrants should accept the new country’s culture as their own.In my opinion, it is a good idea, as the proposal makes it poible for immigrants to not only integrate into the new surroundings but also get more opportunities to work. When people begin a new life in a different country, how to fit into the new society is important.By acquiring knowledge of new culture and using it naturally, immigrants can learn not only how to communicate with local inhabitants and avert offending local customs but also how to make spare time more colorful and improve life quality , then increase their well-being.It is not uncommon that many immigrants still live in their original way which seems very different from local inhabitants and incompatible with new surroundings. They always have the fluke mind that people always feel curious about what different from themselves. It may be true that, in the early days, local people will be curious about a new comer. However, with the initial paion and curiosity fading down, these people would leave you alone due to preventing the embarraing occasions when there is no topics of conversation.Learn local cultural make it poible for immigrants to get relatively equal and even more work opportunities in the new environment.Nowadays, plenty of transnational corporations spring up owing to advanced transportation and economic globalization. These companies need more bilingual people with proficiency in bilateral cultures.Additionally, if immigrants lived in a separate way , then they would not be able to take in corporate culture and could not work well in this company as a result.Let alone the job satisfaction. In conclusion, I think this is a good idea and everyone who would change to live in a new environment should adopt this proposal. When students study a foreign language, they should also study a culture and lifestyle of the people who speak the language.Do you agree or disagree? ARGUMENT:

Nowadays, it is not uncommon for students to learn a new language due to a variety of reasons. These students are proposed to study a culture and lifestyle of local speakers when they study the targeted language. This proposal may be a good idea.Firstly, it makes the learning proce le boring, as it can provide students with more motivation and pleasure when learning a new language. In my country, following the mathematics, language learning principle takes the second place as one of the most unwelcoming but compulsory courses.By learning the abundant and colorful culture and lifestyle, people would gain an interesting learning experience.Additionally, it would make the learning proce more efficiently for providing students with language background of culture and lifestyles. As we all know, a language born is closely related to its local culture and inhabitants’ lifestyle. If we know much about the culture and lifestyles, we would have a better command of the new language rooting in them. Therefore, the efficiency is raised. Also, the purpose of learning a foreign language is not only to reading books written in that language but also to communicate with the native speakers and then accomplishing some jobs. When it comes to communication, on no account can we ignore the importance of culture and lifestyles.People will gain more respect towards local customs and make a good impreion as they know much about local culture. On the other hand, there are various aspects against this proposal.More specifically, learning a new language well depends more on individuals’ talent and learning ability than objective conditions.Culture and lifestyles of native speakers may not be the contributor of learning a new language well. Each learner has their own learning habits. No one actually can judge whether culture and lifestyles of native speakers are beneficial to language learners or not.Furthermore, so precious and limited is time , especially for students, that they cannot waste time learning the local culture and lifestyles relevant to the targeted language.Though we cannot emphasize the importance of learning a foreign language to much, Students should be encouraged to allocate their schedule more appropriately and wisely for other courses of equal significance. In conclusion, helpful as culture and lifestyles of native speakers for some individuals to some extent, it is unfair to ask every student to learn those, as everyone has their own schedule and learning habits. It is increasingly common for parents to send their children to boarding schools寄宿学校.What are the causes of this trend? Do you think this is a positive or negative development? REPORTS+ARGUMENT: Nowadays, it is not uncommon that more and more children are sent to boarding schools by their parents. In this eay, I will discu the causes and effects of this trend, then give my opinion.Three main factors are responsible for this trend. The first reason is too little time that parents have to look after their children.Nowadays, with the high competition of job promotion and increasing preure on house and car loan, a great many parents devote all their time to the job for better salaries resulting in the neglect of their children not in terms of their love for children but of the time allocated to spending with the children. In case of children staying at home alone and not fed, sending them to boarding school seems a good viable alternative.Furthermore, so independent and considerable the children from boarding schools are that plenty of parents tend to send their children there.Students will gain more respect towards not only their parents for realizing how uneasy making money is but also hopefully their peers as they will learn to interact with their peers gradually. It is conceivable that reasons are equal to the advantages of sending children to boarding school. In spite of the positive aspects, the negative do exist.Apparently, there is le supervision in boarding schools due to too many students without enough teachers, especially in leisure time. This situation poses a great threat on children’s safety, in case children go out of school without permiion or lying to their teachers.Still, it should be pointed out that children is vulnerable to be influenced by the surroundings around. If their roommates had bad habits and disruptive behaviors, there would be negative effect on them.Meanwhile, on no account can we ignore children’s innate curiosity of various things and absence of ability to distinguish good or bad. They tend to be interested in everything strange to them and sometimes pick up bad ones. For example, they think of bullies as strong heroes, as they attribute bullying to showing off bully’s strong physical ability which they admire.Additionally, long-term separation from their parents make family bones estranged. In my opinion, I think this development’s disadvantages outweigh the advantages for children education which should be placed in the first place. So we can make the conclusion that it is a more negative development.schools should only offer subjects that are beneficial to students’ future careers.Other subjects, such as music and sports, are not important. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The iue of whether children are given too much free time, in my view, is not about the amount of free time they have, but about whether this time can be spent on socially productive activities.Still, it should be pointed out that segregating intelligent student from their peers is not without its own downside.Be drained of =be shortage of =run out of I tend to agree that young children can be negatively affected by too much time spent on the computer every day. This is partly because sitting in front of a screen for too long time can be damaging to both the eyes and the physical posture of a young child, regardle of what they are using the computer for.The main concern is about the type of computer activities that attract children. These are often electronic games that tend to be very intense and rather violent. The player is usually the “hero” of the game and too much exposure can encourage children to be self-centered and insensitive to others.Even when children use a computer for other purposes, such as getting information or emailing friends, it is no substitute for human interaction.Spending time with other children and sharing experiences is an important part of a child’s development that cannot be provided by a computer. In spite of this, the obvious benefits of computer skills for young children cannot be denied.Their adult world will be changing constantly in terms of technology and the internet is the key to all the knowledge and information available in the world today. Therefore, it is important that children learn at an early age to use the equipment with confidence as they will need these skills throughout their studies and working lives.I think the main point is to make sure that young children do not overuse computers.Parents must ensure that their children learn to enjoy other kinds of activity and not simply sit at home, learning to live in virtual world..The iue of whether children are given too much free time, in my view, is not about the amount of free time they have, but about whether this time can be spent on socially productive activities.Clearly, giving students an exceive amount of spare time after school may cause a series of problems.Young students are at the best stage in their lives to acquire knowledge and skills. If this precious period is occupied with idle activities, they will have to do much more to compete with their peers when they become adults. What can be more disturbing is the poible increase in children’s misbehavior and even offences after school. Some teenagers may linger on the streets instead of staying with their parents or guardians, which makes it very likely for them to be involved in criminal acts. Not only does schoolwork include writing eays and research papers, it may also offer a variety of social activities, such as group discuions or preparation for team presentations, which hones children’s cooperative skills. So it seems children should indeed spend more time on their schoolwork.Despite all these considerations, I believe that students should be given enough freedom in deciding how to use their spare time for the fundamental reason that the skill of managing their time is as important as reading books or doing exercises.Specifically, providing students with the right to choose what they do after cla will develop their sense of responsibility and build their confidence which are the root of any succe. So I think students should be given proper guidance about how to use their free time, although this free time not necearily has to be spent on schoolwork.Life skills are very important and by doing voluntary work, students can learn how to communicate with others and work in a team but also how to manage their time and improve their organization skills.Nowadays, unfortunately, teenagers do not have many after-school activities.After-school clubs are no longer that popular and students mostly go home and sit in front of the tv browse internet or play video games.By giving them compulsory work activities with charitable or community organizations , they will be encouraged to do something more creative.Skills gained through compulsory work will not only be an aet on their CV but also increase their employability.Students will also gain more respect towards work and money as they will realize that it is not that easy to earn them and hopefully will learn to spend them in a more practical way.Healthy life balance and ecercise are strongly promoted by, and therefore any kind of spare time charity work will prevent ffrom sitting and doing nothing. It could also poibly reduce the crme level in the high school age group. If students have activities to do , they will not be bored and come up with silly ideas which can be dangerous for them or their surroundings.
