吴王试剑石简介
会稽（今浙江）著名铸剑工匠鲍唐采武昌（今鄂州）铜铁，锻造了一口宝剑献给孙权。孙权为了试其锋芒，携剑上山，举剑对天祷告：“若苍天有归，成全我东吴大业，必削石如泥！”言罢，手起剑落，石头一分为二，一立一卧。一千多年来，试剑石为孙权以武而昌的象征。
Sword Test Stone Bao Tang,famous craftsman of swotd of Huiji(Today’s Zhejiang)made a sword for Sun Quan with the iron mined in Wuchang(Today’s Ezhou).In order to test the sword’s sharpne Sun Quan carried the sword up to the hill, lifting the sword, praying to Heaven:“The sword must cut the stone easily if Heaven ble my Kingdom.” Finishing the word, he cut the stone with the sword in his hand.The stone was divided into two parts, one standing and another lying.Over the past one thous and years, Sword Test Stone is the symbol that Sun Quan flourished with his military power.比剑石简介
相传刘备与孙权曾先后试剑于此，故此石一分为四。赤壁之战前，刘备驻军樊口，登临西山，抚石举剑祝曰：“联吴抗曹若成，则剑劈石开。”果如其言。后孙权见此石，怒曰：“玄德以吾剑不利耶？吾方欲攻之，先一验吾剑。”言毕，剑落星飞石破，石上双痕宛然。明人有诗曰“割据提雄剑，双痕勒石边”。
Sword Competition Stone
It is said Liu Bei and Sun Quan tested their stone succeively here and henee the stone was divided into four parts.Before War of Chi Bi, Liu Bei stationed his army in Fankou, One Day he climbed up West Hill lifting the sword and praying:“The sword will split the stone if I can ally with Kingdom of Wu and succes sfully defeat Cao’s army.” The words came to true at last.Late, Sun Quan saw this stone, angrily said:“Does Liu Bei think my sword is not sharp enough? I want defeat Cao’s army, too.Now I will test my my sword.” He split the stone with his stone, too.The two marks are still left on the stone, someone of Ming Dynasty wrote a poem for the stone:“Heroes lift their swords, leaving their story on the stone.”
