Thank you for giving the chance for this interview.My name is F, and my English name is May.I come from the English Department of China Youth University for Political Sciences.In the past year, I have been sparing no effort in preparing for the postgraduate examination, and now my hard work pays off anyhow.English is always my favorite major, so during the four years college study, I worked hard in improving my comprehensive English competence, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translating, of which, reading and writing are my strengths, and translating is my favorite.As a result, I’ve got excellent results, ranking first in the whole department(1/40).I am always a diligent person with great patience and strong ability of self-study, which in my friends’ words, are qualifications for me to become a college teacher or a research person.And I have the habit of sharing good things with others, which is one of the reasons why I have chosen translation as my research interest during the postgraduate years.During my spare time, I like reading books, especially English novels and detective stories, keeping update with latest news, especially those financial and political news.And I also like sports, such as running, playing volleyball, etc.“To pursue the best” is always my motto, so to study in Peking university , the best university in China ,where I believe to be able to receive the first-cla education in China, has always been my dream.Therefore, the proce of taking the postgraduate examination is a proce of chasing my dream.If I am given the chance to study here at last, I will treasure it and spare no effort to master a good command of advance.Thank you!

Strong sense of opportunity and ability to stick to things to get them done.For example, I agreed to help one friend of my clamate translate his CV into English the following day after the postgraduate examination, and our whole cla had decided to go to KTV that night.In order to fulfill my promise with quality, I stayed in my dormitory till 1 pm of the next morning and finished the translation, which gained great recognition from that friend.最大弱点
I‘m such a perfectionist that I will not stop until a job is well done.And I am so strict with myself that my friends always say that I am just being ascetic.1.If you failed this time what will you do in the near future？
To tell the truth, since I always exert myself to the utmost for what I pursue, I have seldom thought of failing in this.However, if I failed this time, from the part of myself, I want to try once more, for I can’t bear losing my dream so easily…but as I come from a farmer’s family in Shandong province, my family’s tight budget may not allow me of that.Whatever is the situation, I will never stop my effort in translation study or practices.Thank you for giving me the chance.I hope to see you again soon.
