浅谈在英语教学中如何进行德育教育

摘要:课堂教学是德育工作的主阵地,英语教师应充分重视英语课堂中德育教育对提高英语教学质量所起的作用,要学会在自然中捕捉和利用各种教育因素,重视学生的主体地位,提高英语教学效果与质量。

关键词:德育;德育教育;教育教学;德育渗透

学校的中心工作是教学,教学质量关系到一所学校的声誉,学生活动的大量时间在课堂,因此课堂教学就成了学校德育工作的主阵地之一。英语课堂教学如果做到有目的、有计划、有步骤的进行德育渗透,那么就将会大大提高英语教育教学质量。针对在英语教学中如何进行德育教育,根据我这几年的工作经历,现浅谈以下几点看法:

一、注重仪表 发挥师德的表率作用

在日常工作中,英语教师要通过自身得体的仪态、行为引导学生形成正确、严谨的学习和生活习惯。教师是学生心目中的“榜样”和“楷模”,是构建和师生关系的主动者。俗话说:“有什么样的校长就有什么样的学校。有什么样的老师就有什么样的学生。“美国学者所罗门教授说:“在个体人格发展方面,老师的影响仅次于父母。”可见,教师的表率作用是至关重要的。教师的使命不仅要教书,而且要育人。不能华丽、空洞的辞藻,要自己得体的仪态、良好的行为。正所谓为人师表。因为学生的可塑性、模仿性强,教师是学生最直观的榜样,教师的言行举止对学生有直接的影响。所以英语教师必须注重言传身教,以身作则,为人师表,注重自身仪态,在穿着打扮方面一定要得体,不要误导学生的审美观,在平时的教学中,把培养学生的行为规范与学习习惯结合起来,加强学生心灵与情操的涵养,增强学生的环保意识与社会责任感等德育内容自然渗透其中。从而在德育和学科知识方面对学生进行双重教育。

二、深入钻研教材,挖掘隐含的德育因素,寓德与教

根据英语新课标要求,科学高效备课,把与德育内容有关的英语知识自然融入英语课堂教学中。随时注意联系学生的生活实际,根据学生的年龄特征以及生理和个性特点,采用学生易于特别是乐于接受的方式,使学生明善恶,知美丑,辨是非。同时注意调动学生的主观能动性,进行自我教育。在平常的英语教学中,我是这样做的:在教like(喜欢)时,我设计了许多情景,如教学生热爱丰富多彩的生活,热爱各种各样的体育运动;在吃时不偏食,既like meat(喜欢肉食),又like vegetables(喜欢蔬菜);在学习时不偏科,既like Chinese(喜欢语文),又 like Math(喜欢数学)等。在教borrow(借进)、lend(借出)和return(归还)时,创设情景,教育学生互相帮助,团结友爱和守时守信。在教turn on(打开)和turn off(关闭)时,我注意强化他们的节约意识等等。在教问候语的句型时,如Good morning(早上好),Goodbye(再见),Nice to meet you(见到你很高兴),How do you do?(你好吗),How are you?(你身体好吗),Thank you(谢谢)等,对学生进行文明礼貌教育。在教sorry(对不起)和That's all right(没关系)时,教育学生如何正确对待同学间的以及人与人之间出现的误会和纠纷,使他们懂得如何利用语言的美来创造一个美好的人际关系。

三、创设语言情景教学 在迁移默化中渗透德育

语言是特定情景下的产物。在平时的教学中,应有意识地选择那些学生能接受的、有教育意义的情景,以使语言的学习与品德的陶冶和谐统一。在课堂教学时,教师随时随地在创设着情景。因此,教师必须要文明语言、文明行为,养成对学生使用文明礼貌语言的习惯,使学生听到的、看到的、学到的都是一致的,使言教身教合一,德育在潜移默化中进行。如在教There be(有)句型时,让学生们自行设计出一些情景,说出他们家乡所有的丰富的物产和优美的景色,赞美家乡,赞美祖国,从而渗透热爱家乡、热爱祖国的爱国主义教育。在教where is...?(某物在哪里)句型时,我虚构出一个喜欢丢三拉四的同学,设计一个他寻找东西的情景,对学生进行自理能力的教育,使他们养成做事有条理,爱整洁的习惯。在教It is time to do something(该干某事了)句型时,对学生进行遵守作息时间的教育。在教Can I help you?(要我帮忙吗)句型时,渗透助人为乐的教育。而在教 Would you mind doing something ?(你介意我干某事吗)时,通过设计情景,如

May I come in?(我可以进来吗)May I open the window(我可以开窗吗)?等,培养学生尊重别人的文明行为等等。在教The queue jumper(插队者)这篇课文时,注意教育学生遵守社会公德,做一个知法、守法的人。在教 The great inventor(大发明家)时,教育学生热爱科学、努力学习、献身科学事业,从小就要开动脑筋,勤于思考,从而教育学生从小就要立志做一名对社会对人民有用的人。

四、利用丰富多彩的英语课堂内外活动进行德育渗透。

有目的、有组织地开展各种课外活动,不但可以激发学生的学习热情,而且还能让学生受到良好的教育。如组织学生进行单词接力赛、英语对话表演、英语晚会等课外活动。这样不但能激发学生学习英语的兴趣,还能培养学生团结协作、共同进步的优良品德,苏霍姆林斯基说过“美是一种心灵的体操,它使我们精神正直、良心纯洁,情感和信念端正。”让我们为孩子们创设一个真、善、美的情感空间,使他们在语言学习的同时把握情感品质的内化力量,让他们在语言的天空中感受纯我本色。作为英语教师,我们要学会在自然中捕捉和利用各种教育因素,加强英语教学的德育渗透。当我们把德育渗透到我们日常的课堂教学时,你会发现我们的课堂变得鲜活、有生命了。

五、开拓渠道 注重课外文化的熏陶 拓宽学生的视野

学习和掌握外语仅仅靠有限的课堂教学是远远不够的,文化意识的渗透不能拘泥于单纯的课本教学和课堂教学,而应联系实际,根据学生的心理特点讲一些他们喜闻乐见的外国趣事或进行一些课外活动,利用多种渠道,多种手段,吸收和体验外国文化,扩大自己的语言和文化知识。如:利用网络的无限资源;或请一些外籍朋友与学生们进行直接交流,或以讲座的形式向他们介绍域外的社会生活风貌;或让学生阅读一些适合自已的英语书籍、英语报纸等,并收集一些课外的英语小知识,英语笑话,出在墙报上,让全班同学共享你的劳动成果;还可以组织英语角,英语晚会,开展英语竞赛等,通过长期的潜移默化,让学生慢慢地增长了对英语国家文化的了解,加深对文化知识的运用。从而拓展了他们的视野,增强了爱国主义情操。

总之,课堂教学是德育工作的主阵地。在课堂教学中渗透德育,是每个教师应该努力做到的。在英语教学中,教师应充分重视德育教育,发挥自身在英语课堂德育教育中引领者的作用,重视学生的主体地位,善于挖掘教材中的德育因素,精心设计教学过程,并利用日常交际用语,采取自然渗透的方式有目的的对学生进行德育教育,以达到外语教学与思想品德教育的水乳交融。当然,英语教育的德育功能不仅仅是以上几个方面,它贯穿于整个教育过程。它与我们的各个教学环节和内容有着千丝万缕的联系。只要我们多做有心人,善于发现与引导,寓德育于英语教学的每个环节之中,培养学生逐步形成正确的认识,就能大大提高教学效果与质量,实现素质教育的根本目的。
