Ladies and gentlemen,Welcome to Fenghuang ancient city.Fenghuang is a beautiful place, has always been a tour destination.Ancient city towers, ancient court built in Ming and Qing dynasties and Stone alleys remain the style;there is a National Park named south Huashan outside of the city.And the yellow silk bridge ancient city built in the Tang dynasty are still well preserved.Fenghuang is not only a beautiful scenic but a place propitious for giving birth to great men(人杰地灵).The Republic's first Prime Xiong Xiling, famous writer Shen Congwen and famous painter Huang Yongyu are all come from fenghuang.《The frontier》, and 《the girl from Hunan》, 《the Convention of suppreing bandits in Western Hunan》and so on, More than a dozen movies and television have taken here.Ok, this is the famous writer and archaeologist, Shen Cong-Wen's former residence.Shen Cong-Wen's former residence was built by his grandfather Shen Hongfu in the first year of Tongzhi of the Qing dynasty.On December 28, 1902, Shen Cong-Wen was born in Ming and Qing architectural style courtyard(明清建筑风格的四合院), and spent his childhood and
adolescence here.In 1919, Mr Shen came to Beijing himself, began his writing career, and created , and a series of literary works of.And soon he became famous in Chinese literary circles(中国文坛), almost as famous as luxun who was 20 years older than him.After 1950, Mr Shen involved in research on Chinese ancient costume, he wrote surprised the world work--.Mr Shen’s works and character showed a strong consensus: nature, Magnolia, humility, diligence, broad and dignified.The more than 5 million words by Mr Shen, is the world's literary treasures, and left behind valuable historical information to later generations to study old china and old Hunan.Here is the Republic's first Prime Xiong Xiling's former residence.On July 23, 1870, Mr Xiong Xiling was born in the small cottage.Mr.Xiong has a concern for the fate of the country when he was a teenager.When he was 9 years old, his private schools teachers gave the first part of s couplet : “ Planted a few flower, study of spring and autumn meage;” mr xiong immediately thought of the second line: “dig a pond, glimpse into the world full or deficiency.” After Mr Xiong became famous, he actively advocate political reform, and founded Hunan news, current affairs Academy and Changde West Road normal school.He is the Backbone among the reformers as famous as Tan sitong in Hunan then.Later Xiong aumed the financial supervision officers in three east provinces, Rehe captaincy and the Chief of financial.In 1913, he was appointed as the first Republic Prime Minister when this Administration was particularly called “genius in Cabinet”.Later, because of Yuan Shikai's dictatorship, xiong was forced to disincorporate the cabinet, and resigned from Prime Minister.On December 5, 1937, Mr Xiong Xiling died in Hong Kong, at the age of 67.Now we see is Hongqiao, a bridge founded in Ming dynasty during Hongwu, repaired in Kangxi nine years, there is a(楼亭)named diaojiao on the deck previously.In 1956 ,when constructing roads, original pavilion and memorial arch(牌坊)besides are dismantled, then scene become what it is now.Under the bridge, you can see a row of centuries-old Diaojiao.Under diaojiao, it’s where the dragon boat race ,that is a tradition sport in Fenghuang.Along the official road then, we will arrive to a grave belong to Shen congwen.We can see the inscriptions by Huang yongyu in memory of his uncle: “a soldier, or died on the battlefield, or return to his hometown.”Mr.Shen's grave has not raised a mound, just a colored stone of the original state stands;there is no decoration with carved railings and jade inlays, but a stone path traverses for grazing and cutting firewood, this is a symbol that Mr Sheng and the general public would be together forever.Half of Mr.Sheng’s ashes was scattered in the Tuo River in front of us, the other was buried under the five-colored stone.He was like the tuojiang River, has Originated from the Earth and return to Earth;he was like the stone accompany with him, comes from the Earth and return to Earth!The colored stone as the tombstone was engraved with Shen's writing script:“ think like me, understand me;think like me, understand others.”
