—the Final Speech Competition for College Students of Ethnic Universities On the morning of May 3rd, the day before Youth Day, with the theme of Love My Country, and Revitalize My China,the final of National Speech Competition for College Students of Ethnic Universities was ceremoniously held in the Academic Exchange Center of SCUN.14 contestants from 14 ethnic universities expreed their deep love to our motherland with great paion in the form of speeches.At the very beginning, President of SCUN, Li Jinlin delivered a warm welcome speech, in which he represented SCUN to show enormous gratitude for much support by the State Ethnic Affairs Commiion, the Ministry of Education and fellow universities.And then Meng Yadong, from the Ministry of Education, and Tian Liangang gave their speeches separately, which triggered thunderous applause.After the speeches, the competition came to start officially.During the competition, 14 contestants used their elegant words and authentic emotions to show their devotion to the motherland, expreing the wishes of the contemporary college students to a country enjoying a remarkable fame and a glorious future.Each of them made full use of their talents to stir up the audience’s patriotism from the soul, having the audience know what was the real beauty and kindne of the present society.“It was no exaggeration that through the great efforts of every contestant, the feast for both eyes and ears was provided for the audience.There was by no means pretension and affectation, which impreed me a lot!” a judge said in an excited voice.Through fierce competition, Guo Manman of SCUN shared NO.1 prize with another six contestants, who were separately from Southwest University for Nationalities, Dalian Nationalities University, Qinghai Nationalities University, Sichuan University for Nationalities, Central University for Nationalities and Northwest University for Nationalities.And the remaining ethnic universities won the prize of excellence.
