Here, my point of view can be generalized into 2 sides, Based on the pilot universities and the students themselves.For the univerisities.Universities were allowed to pilot the reform by using their own criteria and select talented students independently.It is a hit for the traditional simple selection system.Its developmental direction, school size, teaching scale, foundation of education etc.should be taken into account for universities to decide how many students can be admitted and enrolled percentage of each state.What’s more, with the technological specialization and social development, those universities differ from their own profeions results in instinctive definition of talent and selection emphasis.That’s it, what to test, how to test and how to evaluate is firmly mastered by the university to meet their educational needs.For the students.The purpose of the independent recruitment is that more top students, or the students with special talents, can be chosen into the university by the state.College entrance exam is the main way to select the people with ability.But a large amount of geeks who only have special talent can not be enrolled by their ideal college because the total mark is low.Or for the top students who fall in the unified exam, this system change the consensus that the unified test can make your destiny done.The story that Mr.钱钟书 was admitted into Tsinghua university by full mark in English but 15 points in math is quite familiar to everybody.I am sure, Mr.钱钟书can’t be enrolled into Tsinghua through college entrance exam but many Mr.钱钟书can be cultivated through independent recruitment system.It seems that it is a win-win situation, for the universities can best measure its suitable genius and the students themselves try hard to be best measured by different ruler.Till now, independent recruitment has been carried our for more than 10 years, although the system is not perfect, it represents the direction of college entrance exam reform and direction for test-oriented education evolution.It is a breakthrough.
