Racial discrimination is off
FromMartin.Luther king's “I have a dream” and the black movement, black people’s rights gradually were recognized and accepted, the life of the black people is also have further improved.Today's American black people already have undergone earth-shaking changes. In order to finish the homework of MINI TALK and report, I find out so many reports about race. Then, I think I am interested in the racial discrimination’s problems. After I read several news reports, blogs and articles about racial discrimination, I find the life of the black people is also have further improved. For example, in the article “Fliers’ vs.Airlines’ Rights”, The author writes “An airline can refuse to carry a paenger for any reason, so long as it is not discriminatory” said Bill Mosley, a spokesman for the Transportation Department. He referred to a federal aviation statute that prohibits discrimination on the basis of “race, color, national origin, religion, sex or ancestry”;“the judge said, given the history and current existence of racial discrimination in voting.” in “The Early Word: Setbacks”;John G.Roberts said “The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race,” in “John G.Roberts Jr”.Just from these meages, I know that black rights have improved in aviation, vote, judicature.besides,I also learn about that they have more rights in political, such as Obama, Who was elected President of the United States in 2009;in education, it ordered that the southern educational authorities should integrate their schools for the white with the schools for the black;High commiioner for human rights iues in February in New York said: “I hope to racism and composite discrimination victims feel positive agenda for their human rights can do”, for black women. There are so many books about Racial discrimination, such as “The shadow of racism about American black status” by jihong, “Racism in America” by Paulette Forman,“ The Fight Against Racism Today” from Scott Marshall, lovinmrv’s“OJ, Obama, and the root cause of racism”.In my opinion, even though black people’s rights have improved in many ways, there also needs the right people to struggle for more rights.Just as the words of abolitionist Frederick Dougla remain true: “Without struggle, there can be no
progre.” Only a struggle that shakes the foundation of U.S.society can end racism.
