Topic: Some people think that children should obey the rules set by their parents and teachers, but others think that le control will help children to deal with their future adult life.Discu both views and give your opinion.Perhaps nobody can impose a greater influence on children than their parents and teachers. Many people hold the view that children should comply with the regulations established by their parents and teachers, who have adequate social experiences.I, however, am of the opinion that the undue effects of rules will hamper children’s healthy development. If children conform to everything what their parents and teachers say, their growth may be exceively restricted. As a general rule, if parents who establish the strict rules overemphasise children’s obedience, their children’s creativity may probably be stifled. It will place some restrictions on the children’s both academic and psychological development.Children will become inactive or, in the worst cases, dull.Another drawback of unreasonable regulations is that they will adversely affect children’s independence. It is conceivable that children who are extremely reliant on their parents and teachers are unlikely to succeed in academic performance.Meanwhile, rules are advantageous in some aspects. They can inform children of some ethical standards in society, which highlight honesty, loyalty and compaion.By learning these standards, children will gain a comprehensive understanding of the rules that help the society operates well. For example, they will realise that aggreive acts are harmful to other people and that robberies and murders violate laws.By following rules, children will gradually develop an idea of how to be acceptable people in society. In other words, rules can prevent children from committing some wrongdoings which can destroy their lives. In the light of these facts, my concluding remark is that rules drawn up by parents and teachers are not propitious for children’s development to a large extent, although their positive influence should not be underestimated.
