Good evening, dear friends.First of all I have to tell you the position l want to get because I am afraid that I would forget to mention it when l get lost in my speech, and l don’t want that happen when the speech finished you audiences do not know what I want to get, it’s a big embarraed thing for me and my speech.Now let me tell you that my target is the vice president.Would u think that l have a big appetite? Yes, l do.Maybe most of you know me, but l think there are some other people have no idea about me completely.This gives me a chance to introduce myself to all of you.My father gave me the Chinese name ###, which is too genteel for me in my perspective, you know, l am an out-going girl.Therefore ,to make up the regret that l can’t change my Chinese name given by my father, l named myself Sophia formy appreciation at the heroine in the Da Vinci Code.She is a very gorgeous、brave、smart and cool woman.Lively and cheerful personality is my favorite character which gives me the advantage to communicate with others freely and relaxed.In personally , I think myself is a person who does things with responsibility and caution ,sometime my friends say l’m a silly girl for being too serious.But it is not so bad to be silly sometime ,isn’t it?
It’s my first time to stand on a stage to give a speech in front ofpeople to win a position.I had been elected to be a department leader in a club and the position of charging clamates’ daily life, I didn’t get a chance to present myself to be deserved the position before them, but today our EC gives me and everybody here a chance to sell ourselves to all of you.l know l love EC,I love each member in EC, l really do.Of course, l also love friends of EC,Angela Owen, you needn’t feel depreed, l didn’t mi you, aha.I had participated inmany clubs about speech、guitar、news writing and so on for my interests are various since l stepped into our university.But l felt depreed after participating some activities that held by them ,l felt that l was cheated by their colorful advertisements and honeyedwords.They didn’t give me what l wanted and what they promised.Therefore, l stopped wasting my time on the boring activities of eating and playing games, l spent more time and energy on my study and things that l am interested in.I once had the idea to build an organization that can bring the members happine and harvest, to give what they want and improve their comprehensive ability.But this idea in my mind was drifted away by losing in the trifles of campus life.I always feel a little bit sense of lo when it comes to the thought.But lamlucky ,when l think my campus life will be ended in straw trifles in the next 2 boring years ,l noticed the recruiting new publicity , l decided tobe a interviewee again.l haven’t taken part in anyclubs since 1 year ago when l realized they were not suitable for me.l came here, yes, in this room ,l had the interview, and l got the meage that said l was recruited ,so did my roommate.And when l joined in this group, l knew l had made a right decision.I have a general idea about the structure of the activities in the next year of Elite Club, if l will be the vice president l will discu these activities with our whole family.Our club is a group that not only cares about English but also the leadership, we come here because we want to be an excellent talent to the world when we step into the society.1.We will keep holding an activity in English once a week,about job hunting、interview and other things that can meet our needs of improvement.2.I think that we should go to the Gulou District English corner to have activities, we can talk about the specific after the speech.3.When the spring is coming, l think that most of you want to appreciate the beautiful scenery in the Meihua Mountain.4.Going out and having a camp out together must be funny and a little crazy.5.We will invite our foreign friends and junior brothers and sisters that have graduated and worked to give some advice to us about their experience in job hunting for foreign companies and something else.6.English knowledge competition about costumes festivalsmoral value must be interesting.7.To connect with the other clubs in our university and outside universities to held activities together will bring us not only friends but also improvement in communicating、thinking、information etc.These l suggested are just some idea about the plan of the next year.That’s all what l want to say, if you vote for me, l’ will appreciate it very much, please stand by me--Sophia, thank you!
