Recently I undesignedly read a thought-provoking story,in which the writer vividly told us why tortoise’s shell is not smooth.Apparently it is merely a legend,yet what it reflects is far beyond the story itself.As far as I am concerned ,the tortoise is undoubtedly clever.However ,intelligence alone does not lead to succe.And what has become a common sense is that virtue of one’s inner nature actually outweigh his intelligent quotient.We have to admit that the tortoise profits a lot temporarily.But what happens to him in the end? He just fell to the ground and his shell brokeinto pieces.He got a narrow escape from death but this miserably left his fame completely in tatters.Thus we are given to understand that if we desire to win respect from others,initially we are supposed to be trustworthy.Hence the saying,do as you would be done by.Only when we treat others openly and warmheartedly will we be treated in a way we are always longing for.And from another perspective,constantly we are too ready to believe others.With the coming of information age, more and more high-tech products have come into our easier acce with some undesirable things accompanying them.As a consequence,cheats and frauds are really prevailing currently.Confronted with such a serious situation,it is high time that we improved self-protecting awarene and think more considerably before we choose to believe others.To sum up,we can’t be too cautious in the ever complex society.The moral of the story is too complicated a topic to be comprehensively covered in the limited space of my article.anyway, different people can benefit tremendously from it in various terms.
