Last week, we have finished the introduction cla of college English study.During the cla, our English teacher, Sherry, gave us much knowledge about how to adapt to the college study life.To be honest, it really helped me a lot, for I almost know completely nothing about how to study college English a week before.Here’s a summary of what I’ve learnt.First of all, there are many differences between high school English study and college English study.At college, we must be responsible for ourselves.That means we have to control the pace according to our own level and explore the effective methods in the basis of daily English study, which previously was done by our high school English teacher.Secondly, plenty of useful tools as well as large amount of English materials are available for us, such as online English cla, numerous English magazines, etc.So we need to pick up the most suitable one, and make schedule properly.Last but not the least, having team sprit is significant.From now on, we will no longer study alone, but in a group.We should be accustomed to working with clamates, instead of just doing things in silence.In a word, the new teaching model is brand new for us.Apparently, it will take us a long time to adapt to the new school life.I have to draw up a plan.For me, the most difficult part of English learning is writing.So I decide to write an eay once a week.And then, during this term, I plan to finish reading the novel called The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy.I expect that after this term, I could get some real improvement in English and learn more about English culture.However hard the task is, I promise I will do the best.
