My view of college life
Some people say college is a free, forgiving world.Among these people Jacob Neusner is a typical one.According to him, college faculty are too tolerant and students are unfortunately spoiled.As a result, the spoiled students feel that failure leaves no record and things can be easily achieved.Obviously, college like this is not a good preparatory school for life.Is the above viewpoint right? As a college student experiencing the life at the time, I don’t agree.In my eyes, most college students are trying their best for an overall improvement.After years of hard work in high school, they know that it’s not easy for them to have the study chance and they must cherish it.They work hard day and night, read as much as poible in order to learn well enough to get into a fine graduate school, or be able to do the job well in the future.Some of them take active part in social activities or take part-time jobs so as to become more confident and independent.And, together with the students, their teachers are also making their effort in teaching and always ready to offer help.Without doubt, College life is important in a student’s life.From now on, there will be no one keep telling us what we should do and what should not do.That means we should learn o be independent, make decisions on our own, and become responsible for us.We should certainly work hard at different kinds of subjects to master the neceary knowledge for the future job.Besides, we must learn to get well along with different people from different places and different backgrounds.We must broaden our view of life and the world.By doing so, we can lead a more colorful and meaningful college life and prepare us better for a real life.
